Welcome back to the EPIC Tripp!!! Last time we had a very fun update where we unlocked all kinds of things. So let’s take a look at what is left now.
Generation 3: Let There Be Light
Cannot take assignments by mail until reaching level 10 archaeology. When the heir(ess) reaches the top of the archaeology or science career, the light bulb is invented and lights can now be placed. Phones may also be used, as well as telescopes and microscopes; Sims may now use planes to travel to foreign lands; Indoor plumbing has been invented, so dishwashers, toilets and showers may now be placed indoors; Dryers of any quality may now be purchased, and you may now replace the cheap washer with an expensive one.
Gen 3 Mini Challenge
Discover all potions and inventions during this generation (scientist). +3 points(Not going for this goal)
- Discover all relics and assemble all totems (archaeologist). +3 points
So only the relics and totems are left! However, there is something I have been neglecting to mention that we still need to complete as well.
Generation 2: Sound of Music
- Starting with the sims of generation 2, if the heir or spouse masters the painting skill, walls and floors may be any material. If this generation doesn’t complete this, it will be up to future generations to gain the necessary skill.
- Starting with the sims of generation 2, if the heir or spouse masters the handiness skill, thermostats are unlocked. If this generation doesn’t complete this, it will be up to future generations to gain the necessary skill.
Yep, some stuff from Gen 2 still hasn’t been done. Neither painting nor handiness has been maxed out yet, which means we are still without thermostats and the ability to live in anything but a wood wall/stone floor house. We might have electricity and indoor plumbing, but still haven’t figured out how to drywall.
So last time we lost Belle, which was hard on all of us, and Lindsey completed the Archeology tasks needed to unlock everything for this generation. Lara was a toddler and cute, and Ferdinando worked on painting. Let’s see what is going on now!
I think Kiana is sad about her daughter as well. This is a picture of 3 of the 4 generations that currently exist in our EPIC. Founder Kiana, Lindsey, and Lara. We’ve come a long way.
I keep re-organizing things in the house, but Ferdinando sit down with Lara for breakfast.
Ferdinando: She keeps asking me why…..incessantly.
She is a toddler and she is trying to learn thinking. Just go with it for now.
Lara decided she was tired of playing with her dolls and wanted to read instead. Moving the reading corner appears to have caused the family to use it. I think Lara is the first sim to sit on a cushion…and man is she cute doing it!
Ferd works on getting us a new sugar skull after giving Francis (I think) a sugar skull offering. Those EPIC spouses have to stick together. These Day of the Dead outfits are just too fun.
Before I knew it it was time for Lara’s birthday. She had managed to get all of her skills learned and was a Top-Notch toddler. I wasn’t sure about that last imagination point, it seemed tough for her to get, but we got there.
Happy birthday Lara!!! A toddler no more.
So that hair just had to go on her. Didn’t like the look, so a quick makeover was done and I do believe I’m likely to put her into athletics. She just seems sporty to me, and hey with your mom being an archeologist that makes sense.
So we gave Lara the motor aspiration, Rambunctious Scamp. This seems like it will fit her well. She also rolled the Bookworm trait. She is a good girl and gets started on homework right away.
Lara is probably one of the most social sims I’ve ever had. She asks to invite a friend over after school, which I of course said yes too because no one has asked for that before. This little cutie came home with her.
Lara’s poor friend had a really bad day and is very sad. She even goes upstairs and talks to Lindsey about it. Sometimes it’s easier to talk to a friends parent about what is going on than your own.
Francis is out haunting and grooving all at the same time. I think he even left all the plumbing alone. Thank you Francis.
Lara decides to bring her new friend home with her the next day again. I have a feeling these two might actually become good friends. Perhaps they will work together, who knows.
Lara is by far one of my most active children. Lindsey and Belle didn’t spend nearly this much time climbing around on the monkey bars, but Lara loves to monkey around on them.
After a bunch of fun, she sits down and does her homework. Who wouldn’t want this kid? I love her so much! Keep being this good at things Lara, it will help us!
Johnny is out for the first time in a little while and starts to clean up the dishes. He gathers them but then just sets them on the counter. I mean, thanks I guess?
The guy Ferd made friends with to get the sugar skull comes by now and then to chat with Ferd. I’m not sure Ferdinando is all that thrilled with the situation as he just continues to work the garden.
Apparently I missed all the cute pictures of it, but since Lara needed to play on a jungle gym Lindsey and Ferd took her and her friend to the park. It got late enough that Lindsey made some grilled fruit for dinner.
Back home you can see the start of our artifact collection forming along the wall, and Ferd helps Lara with her homework for the day. I believe she is already up to a B.
At night Kiana comes to talk with the plants. She loves that there is still a garden, it is part of her legacy, along with the girls who live here. But the garden was her life until Belle came around and provided her the life she set Belle on that continues today
With that picture I think we are going to call this entry complete. This is setting up to be the most successful generation we have had so far, and I’m excited to see what else they are able to accomplish. I do need to send Lindsey back to the jungle soon to get more artifacts though.
