Hello and welcome back to the Easter Egg challenge with Tara, Robin, and Cadbury. The last time we saw the family, Tara aged up into an elder, she continued to try and win a SimScuffle tournament, we found the space bunny, and the boys ran their Snacky Shack. Let’s dig back in!
Week 15+

When we join the family, Tara is practicing some SimScuffle again. In the last post, you might remember, I felt like I landed on a potential reason why I wasn’t winning this before, and that you actually want to be very confident, rather than very focused.

Robin is getting ready to start his next semester of classes, and this time he has a presentation to give. So Robin gets started working on that, gathering up the information. He’ll edit it later.

Cad is out running the Snack Shack, and they have a really good day of sales. Cad is quite the entrepreneur with this little shack, and I’m glad I bought it!

Tara tried a new tournament and got second place again. I have switched up some of the decor, but very confident is actually a more difficult mood to get than very focused.

Tara either opens the stand or Robin does, and Tara heads out to see how he’s doing. We still have mostly a bunch of Voidcritter cards, and we will have more since we still need one card to finish the collection.

Tara continues to practice the SimScuffle game, since it seems that if she doesn’t keep playing, she will lose the “skill” in the game, which makes sense. Real games can be like that.

I then sent Tara fishing, although I could not tell you why. This didn’t really serve much of a purpose, as we can’t get anything we still need from fishing.

Back at home, Robin unlocks the Spacebender mastery perk, so he is able to teleport around a bit more easily, if he wants to. I could see that being useful for being in university.

Cad has managed to fill two of the four nectar stands already. He also has a good start on the 3rd, with it being about 1/2 full. My goal is to have all 4 full by the end, but also sell some of the finely aged nectar.

I had Tara buy herself a confident potion, which put her in a very confident mood, and sure enough, that did the trick! Tara won a SimScuffle tournament, and I have officially gotten Tara through all of the video game tournaments!

The Snacky Shack is also pretty successful, getting over 2K in sales. It’s pretty crazy how much we can sell popcorn, candy, and drinks for.

Now that her video game requirements are done, there are only a couple more easter eggs for us to find. We can complete the Voidcritter collection, and Tara can max out her mischief skill, since we have had a voodoo doll for a while. So Tara hatches a plan with Robin.

Tara tries to paint another easter egg painting, not that we need to, since we have all 5, but just in case anyone wants to argue that the cans are not meant to be Warhol.

Cad manages to max out his video game skills already. He’s quite young, and I don’t really remember him spending that much time gaming when he was younger, but he must have!

Once he’s completed that, it’s time to open the Snacky Shack again. It’s a partial sale day today, because I forgot we had plans this afternoon.

Robin has needed to attend some guest lecture’s which he has done a couple of times, but today he comes to the campus with his family. Cad and Robin play some table tennis first.

While the boys play, Tara decides to go prank the toilets and sabotage a few things. It won’t do much since we don’t stay on this lot, but it at least brings Tara’s mischief up to 9. Everyone attends a guest lecture, just cause, before heading home.

When we get home, Cad needs to work on the garden. His poor plants are in pretty rough shape right now. Being a plant lover, he doesn’t like to see his plants so gloomy.

Tara decides to open up her table to sell some more honey and some more Voidcritter cards. We are never going to get through all of this inventory.

Tara comes out with some food to spend time with Cad. She’s been so deep in gaming for so long that she almost doesn’t recognize her own kids, but they have helped her a lot in this journey.

Since Tara needs to continue to grow her mischief skill, we bought her a telescope to spy on the neighborhood with. She also needs to raise her logic for her aspiration, so it has a double benefit.

Cad is out prepping the Snacky Shack for another sale, this time with less candy and a few more drinks, since some are about to go off. It was a pretty good sale for what they had set out.

Night arrives, and Tara heads out to use the telescope for less mischievous things. She does get a notice about a meteor, though, and heads back inside. We aren’t ending this challenge with a meteor when we are this close.

Once the Snacky Shack is finished with its sale for the evening, Cad spends a bit of time with Thimble. He’s only infected one member of this family with fever and is a good little hedgehog.

Robin is hard at work, most of the time, on his classes and homework. He gets the chance to open up the Voicdcritter and honey stand and gets a few more items sold in the process.

Cad continues to take good care of his garden, and when there are weeds to pull, he goes and takes care of them. He does, occasionally, get sad about hurting the weeds, though, because he just loves all plants so much.

Tara’s turn to open the stand she started so many sim days ago. We are trying to sell as many of these duplicate Voidcritter cards we’ve been collecting, but we just seem to open more than we can sell.

Cad has been successful with his nectar and has filled the third storage rack. He’s been able to sell a few finely aged bottles as well, but we are holding one back. He’s also still very active, and if he doesn’t get a run in sometimes, he gets tense.

Tara supports both of her boys, but Robin felt extra supported, and they got the supportive dynamic. I do love it when parents get this one.

Robin was sent to take in another guest lecture, and that completes his milestone. He won’t complete this aspiration before the end of the challenge, but it’s been nice to make progress.

Cad opens up the Snacky Shack and makes an impressive amount of money. Three thousand is a lot for a snack shop. Those galaxy cotton candies are really lucrative!

Robin got his grades back, and he did a fantastic job in school this semester, getting all A’s. With only 2 classes, that isn’t exactly shocking, but still good. He went ahead and got 2 more classes.

We FINALLY completed the Voidcritter collection, after opening many, many packs. That gives us 35 points!

Tara spends some time playing chess with Cad to work on her logic some more, and Robin joins them, working on the new semester’s homework.

That night, even though it’s late, Tara opens up the stand. I believe we lowered the pricing, so they should sell a bit faster. We still have almost no chance of getting all of it sold, but that’s ok.

Robin has a new presentation for this semester, so he quickly gets started on gathering up the information. We won’t get through another full semester, but that’s ok.

Tara is back to sell some of the stock on her stand. You can see we had picked up quite a crowd. There are going to be a lot of families with Voidcritter cards in their inventories.

Tara is still trying to paint a new easter egg painting. This one very well might be, but I don’t know of a specific example. Cad is also enjoying the gaming mat.

It’s not a TV premiere day, but the whole family actually sits down to watch the TV. That’s pretty rare for this family, but we are quickly wrapping up all of our goals.

Tara doesn’t need much sleep, thanks to the Seldom Sleepy trait we purchased a long time ago. That means her evenings now consist of using the telescope and the selling table to try and deplete more of the stock.

The boys continue to work on their own aspirations. Robin, of course, is working hard on his classes, and Cad is working in the garden. He’s gotten pretty close with the bees.

Tara finally paints a new easter egg painting. This is very much meant to be A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte by Georges Seurat. It’s a very close replication, and that will give us an “official” 5+ easter egg paintings.

Cad and Robin hang out quite a bit when they have downtime, and Cad helps Robin decide he likes jokes. I mean, sure, you can like jokes; jokes are fun.

I cannot, for the life of me, remember why I sent Robin out to collect crystals. It might have been to see if we could find any to sell, since crystals are obviously better than Voidcritter cards.

Cad is the one to open up the stand today, and Tara does some more moongazing. I’m so glad we have a smaller telescope. Not that this family doesn’t have room for a larger one.

We have almost finished all of the goals; it’s really just down to Tara now. That means I’m kind of speeding through a lot of days, and Robin and Cad try and complete wishes to get aspiration points, while Tara tries to sell some more to gain additional money.

Tara chats with Cad as he prepares to open the Snacky Shack again. He has another decent sales day, but we do have some items that are almost “bad,” so we need to get them sold soon.

The Hijinks festival is in town, so the family heads into the city. This is the perfect place for Tara to spend time honing her mischief a bit more. We don’t manage to level it up completely, but we are closer.

Tara and Robin share some breakfast. I’m realizing I probably could have split this update, but we are so close to the end.

Tara had a bunch of updates altogether. First, she finished the Nerd Brain aspiration. After rolling for a new one, she got Eco Innovator, which she isn’t going to try and complete. Especially since we have the notice that it’s almost her time. She also likes Cerebral Sims.

Tara is determined to finish up the final goal, so we head to the park. She introduced herself to a bunch of sims and found someone to bind her voodoo doll to.

With a couple of interactions, she maxes out the mischief skill. I nearly missed the notice, unfortunately, but you can still make it out. That means she completed the final goal and got another 25 points.

Tara goes home and is back to selling at the selling stand. She cooks some meals for her boys. She has had a very successful life, and we are mostly just waiting for her time to come now.

Cad completed his goal, too! He has fully filled all of the nectar racks in his room. That’s a lot of nectar!

Robin goes out to open the Snacky Shack. It’s actually opened a couple of times in a row to clear out their inventory. Both sales go really well, and the Snacky Shack is basically closed.

Cad had saved back a finely aged bottle of excellent blackberry nectar, and he served it to the family. They sit together and celebrate Tara’s life and all they have accomplished.

It was a little much for Cad, apparently, who decided to take his nectar to the bath. It was easier to brood in there, I guess.

Tara goes out to open the stand again and tries to sell a few more items. It’s been a long challenge, and they had a lot in their inventory to sell off.

Tara came back in feeling rather sick, and the poor thing got really “drunk”, apparently on the blackberry nectar, and went to bed not feeling so great.

The next morning, she is feeling much better. Apparently, the boys decided that popcorn was the name of the game that morning.

Robin got to work on his term paper for the semester, and he ended up getting the skillful sleep mastery perk. It seems everyone gets that one.

I had COMPLETELY forgotten it was the boy’s birthday today. Cad spun and then Robin into adults. I totally missed their birthday notice, but that’s all right.

Poor Tara, not feeling well again, stood up and let us know her time has come to an end.

The reaper showed up, and after a little while, he took Tara’s soul to the next life. Tara died of old age and completed all the goals I set out for her. It’s a bittersweet end to this challenge.
Tara lasted about 4 days into week 16, and I had hoped she might pass in her sleep, but alas, it wasn’t meant to be. Thank you so much for reading along, and I hope you enjoyed this challenge! Let’s take a look at the points.
