Welcome back to the Otts! It has been FAR too long since we were with the family and I’m excited to be back. The last time we were with the family Hinata sadly got suspended from school after getting pregnant again and not being able to balance it all. The family celebrated Winterfest, Calvin got a promotion, we had a baby shower, and Dwight was born, and we end with Dustin’s childhood birthday.

We will start this update with Bailie and our founding spouse Julia sharing a hug. Julia has been out haunting quite a bit recently. We can also see little Dustin in the back. Dustin grew up with the Lazy trait and got the Artistic Prodigy aspiration, so he’s not likely to get much done.

Family updates come in and Danielle, Cedric’s daughter, is now a child and then part of the Otts family moved out of Forgotten Hollow. Not entirely sure where they moved to.

Calvin is up and working on fixing all the various things that have broken, including the tea maker. With as many ghosts as we are getting it feels more and more like we are forever fixing plumbing and electronics.

Bailie got us some points by maxing out dancing! Way to go Bailie! +10 points!

Once everyone is up and around for the day, I believe it’s New Year’s, Dustin works on his homework. Bailie is just enjoying her time being a NTH, and even Cordelia stopped by for some family time.

Hinata continues to be a great parent and goes to take care of Dwight, leveling up to parenting 5 while doing so. Dwight will be our first infant in this family and I’m looking forward to seeing how we do with infants in an ISBI.

The family gathers around the TV to celebrate ringing in the New Year together. HAPPY NEW YEAR OTTS!!! It wasn’t that long ago that new years was here in RL!

A new year brings a new life stage to the Otts and Dwight grows into an infant. He’s a cutie already and I don’t know how much of a makeover I’m going to worry about giving infants.

Almost immediately after growing up Dwight already unlocked a milestone for smiling. Smile now kid, I have no idea how you are going to grow up being born into an ISBI. We’ll see!

While little Dwight was growing up into an infant upstairs we have one of our reader’s favorite Otts ghosts haunting, Alan! Hi Alan, please don’t break all our stuff!!! Bailie appears to be eating up some popcorn while Dustin looks a bit sad.

Hinata and Calvin stand around upstairs with the newly grown-up Dwight unable to get by the baby, apparently. Calvin picks him up, moves him out into the hallway, and has some tummy time with him.

Our little Dwight turns out to be a Wiggly infant, which should be kind of fun. Hopefully, he’ll learn some of the milestones quickly, but we might have to struggle with getting him to sleep. Guess we’ll see how it goes.

Sadly, we will have to wait to find out more about Dwight, as downstairs Bailie is ready for her long life to be over. Alan and Audra are both in attendance, and poor Dustin also sees it happening. Grim finishes his tasks and then decides to hang around for a bit in the bathroom. You will be missed Bailie, but you can be with Adalyn now.

I took some time to edit and update the downstairs room to be a nursery for little Dwight. While Calvin starts working on getting him down to bed for the night we find out that Dwight is an early riser who loves wake-up time, which I guess makes sense. He’s too wiggly to want to sleep for a long time.

While everyone is sleeping for the night we get a bunch of family updates. Janessa and Corey have their new baby, a little boy named Derrik. Then there are multiple birthdays. Dalton, son of Cordelia, Darin, son of Cedric, and Brynlee, Brodie’s stepdaughter.

Dustin has had a bit of a rough time after his grandma’s death. He doesn’t sleep very well and rarely does more than nap. He also hasn’t been able to take great care of his needs, although he has managed to not lose us any points…yet.

Calvin stays home and works from home so we can try and be here for Dwight as much as possible and get him through some milestones. Dwight does quickly learn to lift his head!

Calvin’s work-from-home task was to go protest, so while Dustin is at school we send the others out to protest. Calvin feeds little Dwight before letting Hinata hold him while he works the protest to an essentially empty park.

Once back at home, Hianta proves to be a great mom once again by spending time with both of her sons before they head to bed that night. Hinata might help Dustin get through missing his grandma Bailie.

Sadly, we get the notice that Tai Lum, Cordelia’s husband, passed away. They have an infant son, and I’m sure she’ll likely end up remarried.

Calvin has been spending a fair amount of time with Dwight since he’s still a baby, but that doesn’t mean he won’t go spend time with his other son. Especially since he’s been having a hard time with the death of Bailie.

Maybe at his mom’s suggestion, maybe it was his dad’s, but that night I find Dustin upstairs giving himself a pep talk, which was so cute. Hopefully, this will help him when we come back to the family, as this feels like a decent time to wrap up this update. Next time we should be able to get through Dwight’s birthday to toddlerhood, let’s hope we survive the rest of infanthood. Hope to see you next time!

Hello and welcome back to the crazy…I mean the ISBI. I’m so excited to be bringing you a new update to the Otts family. Last update Dustin grew up into a toddler and the family was busy taking care of him. Let’s dig in to this new update!

When we start the update we get family updates. Cordelia has gotten married, and nearly immediately gets pregnant as well. Then we get the notice that Kaleigh and Cedric are also expecting again. Yay for more Otts!

Cedric is over and perhaps he is letting him mom know she’s going to be a grandma again. I really love this generation of this family, they have been so much fun.

Eddie is out tonight and starts the night by destroying the dollhouse, then he is helpful and mops up Dustin’s mess. Thanks for the help Eddie, but I don’t suppose you could have not destroyed the dollhouse?

Hinata is sick and we start to wonder if she is pregnant again. Then she proves to be a really good mom, comforting little Dustin and then reading him to sleep. She is, sadly falling behind in school and I think she might not finish it now.

Calvin comes home with a promotion, way to go Calvin. Then we find out Corey’s twins are now toddlers. This portion was played before the infant update, so they went straight to toddlers. They are cuties.

Calvin gets busy potty training Dustin. He at least needs to get him to level 2 so Dustin can work on it more himself.

Hinata celebrates finding out she is, indeed, pregnant. She is going to fail out of college for sure now. She might surprise me, but pregnancy has been not great for Hianta and school. Hinata goes and tells Calvin, who is also happy about the news.

I love you Hinata, you are one of my favorite NTH’s. Your predecessor was also amazing, but I’m still mad at Adalyn for dying in the pool early. Please keep being amazing!

Julia, while I appreciate very much the fact you are mopping up a puddle, you BROKE the sink. The puddle will never go away unless you fix the sink.

It’s Winterfest Eve and the family works on decorating the tree together. One of these days I might actually consider decorating the inside for Winterfest (or maybe even most of the winter.) I love decorating for Christmas in real life.

*sigh* Sadly the excitement of Winterfest was too much for Dustin. He passes out on the floor. -5 points.

Brooke’s “whoops” twins (whoops in the fact I forgot to flag her before) have grown into children. We will get a better look at them later. I love all the Otts we have in the family now.

Before bed, Calvin gives Dustin a bubble bath. Once that is done and he’s put to bed Hinata sits with Dustin to work on her schoolwork. I hope she manages to get through these last classes.

Bailie, I know you had the bodybuilder aspiration and worked really hard to get fit, but could you please take it easy on using the weight machine? I really don’t want you to die from exertion.

A bunch of fun new updates for the family. Bailie is squeamish now, which is sort of funny. Calvin and Dustin get a strict family dynamic, which makes a little sense, Calvin wants Dustin to be successful. Then we find out 2 of Dustin’s 3 quirks. Loves Sounds and Aggressive.

The house at night looks very pretty all decorated on the outside for Winterfest. I really do like this house, especially with all the changes we have made to it (which I’m going to be making more soon.)

More updates and we find out Corey and Janessa are expecting again too. A new baby will be joining their twins soon. This isn’t a family update, but I found it kind of funny, but also sad that Celeste (one of the new pre-mades from Growing Together) has already died. Then, Dustin maxes out his potty skill! That’s +5 points. Thank you, Dustin!

Ahh well. Points come and points go. Dustin is acting a lot like Alan in his toddler years. So far, points gained, points lost. -5 Points.

Luckily the family is still able to complete many of the traditions of Winterfest because we can do them as a group. Even little Dustin can get in on the fun now that he’s had a nap.

Corey comes by to see his brother, and maybe to let the family know that his wife is once again pregnant. I love that so many cousins are going to be close in age. Maybe we’ll try a toddler playdate.

Awww, Dustin’s last quirk is that he loves to wake up. That’s cute. Then, sadly, pregnancy with Hinata’s school just doesn’t work out and she officially flunks out, or rather is suspended. I’m not sure I’ll have her try again. We’ll have to see because she was doing really well on her own for a long time.

Speaking of Alan, later in the evening of Winterfest he comes haunting. He manages to stop Bailie from her constant drink-making. I think she might get close to maxing out Mixology all on her own.

Hinata has also developed some Squeamishness, what is it with this family? Bailie then decides she likes Silly Behavior thanks to her grandson.

Hinata is getting bigger and bigger, but she still is a great mother to Dustin. He even gets to work on flash cards with his mom. Maybe he’ll max another skill and even out our points.

I really want to try out a baby shower for Hinata, but we haven’t met all of the other members of our extended family, at least close cousins. So we make a quick tour of the extended family. Brodie’s adopted daughter is our first stop to flag her. Then we meet Cedric’s kids and flag his stepdaughter. Then we wrap up our time out by meeting Corey’s twins

We manage to hold a baby shower and it’s a lot of fun. It turns into a family-wide baby shower with each of this current generation’s wives all being pregnant together, at various levels. We take some lovely pictures of the family and have a lot of fun until Hinata goes into labor!

Hinata heads to the hospital with Calvin and heads back to the delivery room where she started treatment with one medical person, who then up and left in the middle of the delivery and Hinata had to wait for someone else. Calvin did come back to the room and soon we have a new little boy, Dwight. This is quite a boy-heavy generation so far. +5 points

After the birth of his newest son Calvin and his mom get the option to be jokesters. I go ahead and say yet cause I think this seems like fun.

When they get home Calvin shows off his new son to his mom. Bailie is super happy to meet her newest grandchild. She is getting to see so many grandkids and it makes her very happy.

That same evening we get family updates where we find out Kaleigh and Cordelia both give birth to their own baby boys, Darin and Dalton respectively. Brodie’s son, David, has also grown into a teen now.

Calvin takes care of Dustin while Hinata rests and takes care of their newest son. He plays with him and then at night reads him to sleep.

Dustin has managed to max out his movement, which gives us another +5 points! Then he gets to level 4 of imagination. We might manage to get 3 skills maxed for Dustin!

Hinata takes a little bit of time for herself on the pool floaty. Thank you for using the floaty and not drowning Hinata. Then she not only takes care of Dwight but also plays with and dances with Dustin.

Calvin remains busy working on his painting since we still need to immortalize him. Dustin also continues to be adorable and I love these poufs.

Dustin wandered outside in a storm and made this face. Baby, why did you go outside? Go back inside and your dad can comfort you and put you to bed. He’s so cute!

OMG, look at this, the parents and baby are all asleep at the same time, in bed! This is a rare and exciting event in any ISBI. Now, not all of the family was asleep, but still, it’s impressive all the same.

It only lasts for so long though and then Hinata is back up taking care of the baby. It’s funny, I try and have Calvin help out and Hinata always autonomously beats him to it and he can’t “reach” the baby.

You might have noticed Hinata is in a pretty shirt before and it’s because we are throwing a birthday party for Dustin. He’s already a child, and while he didn’t quite max out imagination, or any other skills, he did really well. All the family is invited over, and we determine one of the toddlers has the messy eater trait. Julia helps us out that night by helping clean up after the messy eater.

That feels like a good place to end this update, which is starting to feel long, but first I will leave you with some family updated pictures.

We will start with Cordelia’s husband, Tai Lum. Next to him is David Otts, and then we have Cedric’s kids, Mikayka and Danielle. He has the most girls right now. Next up is Brooke’s kids, Chance and Chaya, both of whom are vampires. Finally, we wrap up with Corey’s twins, Darnel and Destiny.

We managed to actually get a small boost in points, which is pretty good with how we started, and I hope you enjoyed the update.

Otts Family – Calvin 07

Hello and welcome back once again to the Otts. I’ve been doing a fair amount of playing so I’m excited to bring another update. Last update there wasn’t a lot going on last round, which was not a bad thing, but didn’t make for a super interesting update.

We are going to start this update with a family update that came in while the family was sleeping. These aren’t 100% directly our family members, but Cheyenne Ojo is Adalyn’s sister, and Douglas Ichmawin used to be married to Britta Latte a while ago. Hayden Bheeda was actually married to Arthur Otts long ago and is a vampire. So we’ll see her more I’m sure.

Another late-night feeding for Calvin and Dustin. Calvin takes being woken up at any hour like a champ and really does seem ready to do anything for his son. I’m glad you all chose Calvin!

We got some more family updates! Janessa and Corey welcome twins. Destiny and Darnel join their cousin Danielle and obviously Dustin here for the D generation. Danielle also grows up into a toddler.

Bailie shows she can still be a very good grandma by taking care of Dustin while the rest of the family is busy, and I think Calvin might have been at work.

Then she heads downstairs where we find Hinata doing her homework again. Things were tough with the baby, and I hope she passes her classes this time around and graduates, that would be pretty cool.

Calvin continues to work on his painting skill. He is up to 6 or 7 now I believe, and so he is close to being able to paint his required self-portrait. I really wish it was easier to do self-portraits in 4, but oh well. Anyway, Calvin works on yet another new painting for me. Is it possible they have added paintings to the game? Seems I find new ones all the time.

The spice festival was in town, so we took everyone to the festival and they all tried the spicy curry together. No one won, although Hinata seemed to really be enjoying her curry for a bit, I thought she might have a chance.

Back at home, baby Dustin has grown up into a toddler! He can now start with the skilling, hopefully, and we will be bringing in more points, I hope. We will see how he does.

Hinata and Calvin get to have a pillow fight, which is adorable to me. I think it’s super cute that this is back, and while it would be kind of nice if they could do it in more places than the bed, it’s nice to have it back anyway.

Adalyn comes out to haunt and Bailie sits and chats with her. Adalyn really was the love of her life, and I really do miss her.

Time for toddler cuteness. I’m sure in a real house all those glasses would be moved from right there with a toddler in the house. Can’t imagine the mess and danger that would pose. Luckily this is sims and Dustin can’t do anything to them, and neither can anyone else.

Three generations in a single picture. The family was clearly eating a meal together and likely it was breakfast due to the fact everyone is in their pj’s. This family has been nearly boring lately, this is supposed to be an ISBI. Granted my hair is happy to not be pulled out constantly, but still.

Calvin actually had multiple days off in a row, so he spends time teaching Dustin a bunch of skills. We get potty skills going, and movement skills with the slide. They play with dolls as well.

I forgot to mention, and this picture should make it clear, Dustin is a wild child. He frequently strips out of his clothes and runs around the lot. If this kid doesn’t max out his movement skill I’ll be surprised.

Alan and Audra are out haunting together again. They don’t really break any plumbing for the night, which is very nice for Calvin as he has to fix it all in the morning most days.

Calvin and Hinata continue to cook together, which I love. It really is good for Hinata’s skill, and it lets us keep the fridge full of food. With a fridge full of food there is always food to set out for Dustin to take. I’m curious how infants are going to fit in with this family when they are finally here.

While Calvin is at work Hinata gets to take care of Dustin and she does a great job. Not only does she give him a bath, which he did ask for, but then they danced together to the stereo. This also helps Dustin’s movement.

Calvin found himself finishing up a milestone after gaining one more skill, in parenting I think. This is our first point change for a couple of updates. Thank you Calvin for the +5. This update feels like it’s getting long, and we might as well leave on a high note.

Otts Family – Calvin 06

Hello and welcome back to a new Otts update! We haven’t been with this family since Sept and I’m super excited to finally be bringing you another update. Last time we were with the family baby Dustin was born, Hinata worked on her homework and we had Spooky Day. Let’s see how it goes!

Calvin gets to work on taking care of baby Dustin. I am hoping that Hinata will be a good caretaker of the baby while Calvin is at work, but luckily he won’t be at work too often during Dustin’s baby years.

Cordelia finally gets married! She’s an adult and he is an elder so I’m not sure if they will have many kids, but we’ll see what happens. I’m excited she got married though.

Bailie sees Eddie’s ghost. She actually never got to know Eddie, if you remember Eddie died while Audra was in labor and giving birth to Bailie. It was a crazy day for Alan.

I always love it when Eddie paints. Eddie was a really good painter (as most of our heirs are) and whenever he haunts and paints we get a decent painting to sell most of the time.

Bailie goes in and checks on Dustin and changes his diaper. Bailie has been a decent help so far, she did raise all of her kids and while Adalyn was a super parent, Bailie wasn’t a slouch. She is quite tired by the end of the day, however.

Not much is happening in the house besides Dustin. Hinata also goes and takes care of baby Dustin, still in the hospital gown. Sadly the birth really threw off her schoolwork and I don’t think she’s going to do as well this semester.

Sadly it looks like I was right. 2 F’s is not good news. Hinata had been doing so well and I really thought she was going to make it all the way through in one try. Maybe not with A’s but you know. Oh well, we will see how it goes to redo these classes.

So one final semester to try for, and at least she only needs to do 2 classes this semester and hopefully that will be good for her. I really do want to see if she can get through college. I really hope she can.

There is a storm right as Hinata is coming home from class and Eddie is coming home from work. It scares both of them pretty badly. I like Oasis Spring for a lot of things, but there can be pretty bad storms sometimes.

Ah, see, much as I was saying before. When Eddie haunts, if there is room on the easel, we often get a masterpiece. Thank you so much Eddie!

Eddie and Hinata enjoy each other’s company. We are not currently trying for a baby, but we do have risky woohoo in, so it’s possible that Hinata will end up pregnant again. We will have to see.

Hinata: I kind of hope not, I would like to finish school.

I know, I want you to as well, but the fates will decide.

Meanwhile, another former NTH tries her hand at taking care of Dustin. She does all right, but not fantastic. Audra you took care of all your kids, why are you just talking to Dustin?

Audra: Huh, are you talking to me?

Yes, can you try and feed him maybe?

Audra: Me??? Feed him? Oh no no, I’m done with my baby care.

All right, let me go wake up Calvin.

Calvin: There you go my baby boy. Is that what you needed?

Thank you very much Calvin.

Calvin: I’m never upset to take care of my son.

I cannot for the life of me remember why I took this picture, maybe it was Harvest Fest? Yeah, I think that is what is happening, is that it’s Harvest Fest and they are eating the grand meal.

We start a club meeting to bring over everyone and give them some options for getting reading and things done. Bailie and either Corey or Cedric read out on the porch.

Bailie does do more than just make drinks. She cleans them up occasionally too. I wouldn’t hate if all of my sims cleaned up around here a bit more, but that’s all right. Luckily we frequently have our family ghosts there to clean up all the dishes. Thank you Julia.

Bailie spends time on the computer. She is trolling the forums I believe. Gotta love that interaction. We haven’t had a ton of pluses or minuses this round and it’s making me a bit nervous.

The family heads to bed, and all of the members are actually asleep at the same time, including Dustin. I think I’m going to actually end this here. I know not a lot happened, but I’m going to be happy with the no change in points.

Hello!! Welcome back to a new Otts update! I know, I know, it’s been quite a while since we’ve seen this family and I’ve been super busy playing other things and just life in general. Last time we left the family with a bit of a mystery, is Hinata pregnant? So let’s get into this and find out!

We start with Hinata working on her homework yet again. I swear she comes home and finishes her homework almost every day. I am curious what her grades this last semester will be.

Calvin is working on painting and getting the skill built up. I love this small painting, it’s kind of silly looking. He’s been putting most of them up on Plopsy to try and keep money flowing in.

Cordelia comes by and her mom goes out to talk with her. She is still living on her own and I wonder if she will end up married or not. I really should go give her a bit of a makeover.

Ok, I really quite like this painting. I haven’t seen it before and it’s really kind of pretty. Calvin is working his way slowly up through the painting skill. Hopefully, before too long he’ll be able to do his own painting.

I love cooking with family. It is also a really nice way to have Hinata gain some cooking skills so she is less likely to set the kitchen on fire.

Hinata: Hey! I haven’t set the kitchen on fire yet!

Yes, I know, and you are wonderful but isn’t it better to learn more?

Hinata: Yeah, all right, I guess.

Bailie: I’m making the family all drinks!

Which they won’t drink, but you enjoy Bailie.

Well, it’s no longer a question, Hinata is pregnant with the newest generation. This will be the D generation and I’m so excited to see how this generation will continue to grow and change.

Ok, I thought I’d painted ALL the small paintings, but I don’t remember this one either. There are really a lot of paintings in this game, and they are really fun, some of them!

Adalyn is out haunting again and Bailie goes and gives her wife a hug. I am still a bit mad at you Adalyn, but you were still one of the best NTH spouses ever. I miss you.

Adalyn sticks it out until the morning and gets to hang out with Bailie and Hinata during breakfast. Hinata doesn’t look too thrilled, but I’m not entirely sure what is happening. It might be due to the pregnancy, not sure.

Bailie: The poor dollhouse! My pretty dolls!

Bailie, they are fine, I’ll have Calvin fix it later.

Bailie: But who would have done this….*sob*

I can’t remember for sure, sorry Bailie.

(I’m pretty sure it was Bailie herself…maybe she’s starting to forget things.)

Yeah, you are reminding me why I loved you Adalyn. Why did you have to go die on me? She really was one of the best NTH’s I’ve had. Future NTH spouses have a lot to live up to.

Calvin works out a bit, and he is not great. It’s funny, he’s very much like his mom and I don’t really see him getting very fit. Still, it can be a great way for him to spend a little time.

Bailie has nearly maxed her painting skill at this point. She got up to level 8 during her time as TH, but now that she’s left to her own devices, she’s finally leveled it up a bit more.

Hinata, you ok?

Hinata: Of course, I’m just studying.

Against the sink in the bathroom?

Hinata: It’s fine, I just need to finish this up.

Ok, I mean there are desks downstairs, but as long as you are good.

Oh but look, Hinata got a milestone on her aspiration! Yay, that’s +5 points for us. Things are already going well this round!

You may have noticed the decorations, it’s also Spooky Day, and Calvin enjoys pranking the teenagers that come by the house. Does anyone else enjoy doing this? I almost always give the children candy, but I occasionally enjoy “tricking” the teens.

There are a few family updates this time. For one Cordelia is now an adult, and Brooke’s twins are now toddlers. Finally, Corey is going to have a baby with his wife, which means we will have 3 kids in this generation very close in age.

Before Hinata is unable to, she goes and gets some workout time in. It is a bit silly that they can’t work out, or do yoga after a while, but she’ll enjoy it while she can.

Alan and Audra are out haunting together tonight. I do love these two. After doing some things around the house (but not breaking anything) Alan heads out to mourn someone. I’m going to guess it was Jill the cat since Audra was in the house with him.

Calvin gets promoted, while Hinata is working on her homework. Since this is Calvin’s 4th promotion and we only needed a few we now have Calvin switch to the Secret Agent career.

Calvin and Hinata are very much in love and Calvin is ready to meet his new son or daughter. Hinata is also very ready to have the baby. The two haven’t had a lot of time together, so that evening they enjoy each other’s company.

Kaleigh gives birth to the first D baby in the family. Danielle is born to Kaleigh and Cedric. It’s the only family update we have today.

Julia is out haunting, it’s been quite a while since we have seen her, and she gives Bailie a big hug. I don’t think Julia got to meet Bailie, but I could be wrong.

Hinata is back in the bathroom doing her homework again.

Hinata: The baby keeps kicking my bladder. I don’t want to go all the way downstairs only to have to come up.

You have places to sit up here too you know.

Bailie really really likes this bar. I wish she would clean it once in a while though. She makes quite a few drinks but as usual, leaves them all to sit.

So I found it kind of funny that both Hinata and Bailie get the exact same fear at basically exactly the same time. Now it’s an ISBI, so not entirely crazy, but still kind of funny. Then Calvin gets a promotion to Field Agent.

I see Bailie walk outside and across the street and when I head over to see what’s going on I see she is chatting with Corey. Bailie is busy showing him something on her phone, but we are called back to the house.

It’s time for Hinata to go to the hospital, and Calvin heads with her and of course freaks out. Hinata gets through the birth and welcomes a baby boy named Dustin. We have our newest Otts and the first option for D-generation heir. +5 points

With that, I’m going to leave this family, as amazingly Hinata got through that entire pregnancy without passing out or peeing herself. I’m not going to chance having a bunch of break-downs. Next time we should see Hiannta graduating from college if she keeps her grades up!

Hello and welcome back to the Otts! Last time we didn’t have that exciting of an update, the only interesting thing was we discovered Hinata is a student in university. So I am letting her run with it. Since that was about it, let’s get right into this new update.

These two are fun, and Hinata is just ADORABLE. I totally love her.

Now, normally I’m all for Bailie working out, but she is now an elder.

Bailie, if you die from working out too hard, I WILL revive and KILL you myself.

Bailie: No you won’t. That would cause you more point loss.

Ugh, please just don’t die!

Hey, Alan is out tonight. If you are a new reader, Alan was our first TH born in-game. He was a bit of a mess, and his generation was our worst so far.

Hi Alan!

Alan: Who made such a mess of this bar?

Um…I think that was mostly your daughter, but your wife has used it quite a bit too.

Well, Bailie has certainly spent a lot of time at the bar. I doubt she has enough time to get the skill maxed, but I guess you never know. She does have long life.

I mean, see, she’s back at it again. Bailie REALLY likes this bar now. It’s funny how elders seem to really get into the bar, but the adults/young adults don’t seem to be as interested.

Oh yeah, I put a floaty in the pool to hopefully avoid the drowning of more sims. Adalyn just got so tired, but wouldn’t get out. Maybe if she had a floaty, like Bailie here, she would have been ok. (I know, probably not, but leave me hope!)

Hinata finishes her semester and would you look at that. Pretty good grades for an NTH. I’m impressed. Also, look at that degree she is in. She’s in a DISTINGUISHED degree program even. Well, I’m glad I let her run with it. We fill up her schedule, because why not, it’s her last semester this way.

And Hinata is diligently back to studying. I swear, this girl has to be a rarity. I can’t even get my kids with focus lights to do this much homework. I love Hinata!

Meanwhile, we have finally gotten Calvin starting on painting. We have to get his skill up so he can immortalize himself for the challenge. He still has a long way to go, but at least it’s a start.

We get a small family update, David, Cora and Brodie’s son, is now a child.

Bailie has not died yet, thankfully. Adalyn also comes to visit her. Then I get a bit nervous about Bailie’s drinking when she sits down with two drinks at the table.

Hinata has apparently worked herself too hard and passed out in the living room. Thank you Hinata for the -5 points.

Cordelia comes over again and then decides to use the tub for a mud bath.

Cordelia, why aren’t you doing this at your house?

Cordelia: Shh, I’m trying to relax.

We get a few more updates next. Brooke has her babies, and we head over to flag her so she has no more. Also, Cedric is going to have a baby with his wife. So the first of gen D is on its way. Finally, I thought this nightmare notice was quite interesting.

Calvin has finished the first milestone of his aspiration. So thank you, Calvin, cause that makes us even this round with this +5 points. Actually, in looking at this it looks like this is the second milestone. So an extra +5 points. I think he’ll continue to do well in this aspiration.

These two are very much in love with each other and they needed some fun so woohoo it is. Now, we do have risky woohoo in, so you just never know when this “fun” might cause additional members of the family.

Calvin is getting better at his handiness because we keep having things break. Between the ghosts, and just the general breaking of items keeps him busy. I am trying to update some things, but I also want to leave a few things for future generations to upgrade as well.

Well, I appreciate Bailie is working on the violin, it’s better than drinking constantly, but I guess the bathroom has better acoustics? Gotta love the number of things Sims do in a bathroom.

Well, at least she didn’t pass out? Poor Bailie is not handling not being TH as well as I might have hoped this update.

Well, Hianta is working out but she is also throwing up. Is there maybe a new Otts on the way, or did she just eat some spoiled food? It’s possible either way in an ISBI.

We are going to end this update with a family photo. This little family is doing really well overall, even with a few things here and there. I’m excited to see how this keeps going, and hopefully, we’ll have more exciting family updates next time. We have luckily kept it even on point this round. I’m excited to see if Hinata is actually pregnant, and how she does in school, next time.

We are finally back with the Otts family and I am so excited to be back! I know it has been quite a bit since we’ve had an update for them, but fear not, they are not gone! We still have a long way to go with the family, and I am hoping, now that my work has started to calm down a bit, I’ll be able to bring you more consistent updates across all of my stories again. The last time we were with the Otts we celebrated the wedding of Calvin and Hinata. Let’s see how the newlyweds are faring.

We start out with the newlyweds making use of their room. They are not trying for a baby yet, but I also have risky woohoo in, so you just never know. I want to give them a tiny bit of time before we start having kids.

We get a couple of family updates while the household members were preoccupied, and one of them is that Brooke is pregnant. Apparently, we forgot to flag her. Brooke, if you don’t remember (and I didn’t so I would be surprised if you did) is Arthur’s youngest daughter. Then we get news that Cora, who was married to Brodie got remarried.

We have a fun visitor this night, Julia, and thus have our first TH’s spouse and then our current TH’s spouse enjoying a drink together. Julia isn’t actually too happy, but that isn’t about Hinata. They seemed to get along just fine.

Things are actually quite quiet in the house right now and so we end up with two more family updates. Calvin’s brothers are both now full-fledged adults! Neither has gotten married yet, but who knows what will happen now.

Our sweet Adalyn comes out to haunt and visit her love. I’m still a bit mad at you for dying on my Adalyn, but I can also tell you miss your wife. She at least helps us out by cleaning up the dining room.

Not to be outdone by a ghost, Hinata also cleans up dishes on her own. Then she surprises the heck out of me by pulling out a book and doing homework! So I go open up her information and sure enough, she is a college student. She is currently in the distinguished communications degree! Well, I doubt she’ll do very well in school as an NTH, but you never know.

Calvin really is still here. He spends a lot of his time fixing things that the ghosts break at night, or that our NTH’s break. So far he’s keeping up with his work, but we need to start getting him into painting so we can get him immortalized.

Cordelia is over for another visit, don’t you have your own home??

Cordelia: Yes, but I love it here, plus, I gotta make sure to spill all the family secrets to my new sis-in-law.

Hinata: Se-e-e-crets??? What kind of secrets?

Don’t worry about Cordelia. There isn’t anything tawdry about this family!

Cordelia: Actually she’s right, there isn’t really isn’t much. Other than how my mom died in the pool.

Hinata: Oh my!

Well, thanks for that Cordelia.

We might have completely forgotten to pay the power bills. I’m not going to say one way or the other, but regardless, Bailie takes really good care of this bar. She is starting to use it a lot too. Wish Adalyn had wanted to use the bar since she had the mixologist aspiration.

See what I mean? Bailie, how many drinks do you need???!!

Bailie: *to herself* and then we put a little of this, and hmmm….

Never mind, we will just leave her to it. She’s not losing us any points, and at this rate maybe she’ll actually max the skill.

Hinata is nothing but dedicated to her studies! She even got a good “result” from going to class. I’m surprised, but she can’t do a presentation or a term paper so I don’t really know if the grades will be good or not.

Well whaddya know, she’s even gaining some skills from all this homework. Then she goes and celebrates with some popcorn. I know we don’t get points for college, in fact, I really didn’t think it would be possible to have them in college, but I guess it’s possible.

With all the power back on we have someone else interested in the bar. Hello Audra! I don’t remember you being interested in the bar before.

Audra: We didn’t have a bar in my day, remember?

Oh yeah, we got this specifically for Adalyn, who didn’t use it.

Audra: Well it’s getting plenty of use now!

The next day Calvin comes home with a promotion! YAY, even though this doesn’t get us any points, it’s still good since we don’t have a ton of money. I would love to get a slightly bigger, or maybe just a differently laid out house eventually, but that takes money.

I really love these neighbor gifts. It seems so random, especially since Corey doesn’t even live in this neighborhood, but hey, thanks for the violin. I mean we have one, but hey, what’s another violin in the family?

I’m not going to lie, I kind of really love the fact we can cook as a family now. I think it’s so much fun and can help earn some skills. I think Hinata was out at class, which she has diligently attended every day I might add. So Calvin and his mom make up some dinner.

We are going to end this update here, I know there wasn’t a lot that happened, but at least there weren’t a ton of failures. To end though we get some happy family news. Both of Calvin’s brothers are now married! I will give you a better look at them here in just a second.

We will officially end with looking at the latest family portraits. To start we have Corey’s new wife Janessa. I think she is very pretty. Then we have Cedric’s new wife Kaleigh. I do hope they will have kids. On the second row we have Brynlee all grown up into a teen, she is Brodie’s step-daughter, next to her is Cedric’s new step-daughter Mikayla, and finally, this is little David, Brodie’s youngest (and yes, I confused myself with the letters since it was Cora who’s name I saw instead of remembering it was Brodie).

We are back with a new Otts update today, which I’m super excited to be bringing you again already. I am not currently playing my saves in any particular order right now, just playing what I’m having fun with at the time. So last time we didn’t have a whole lot that happened beyond meeting who will be our newest member, Hinata. Let’s dive in and see how it’s going with them.

We start with Bailie breaking the sink and then standing there complaining about it. I’m so glad there is nothing in the points about breaking items. We’d be in the negatives at this point for sure.

It’s love day, so once Calvin gets up and repairs the broken plumming he invites Hinata over. She offers him a gift all by herself. It’s very sweet, and he is very smitten. He quickly offers up a rose of his own.

Then Hinata grabs a drink of some kind and decides to take a bath in our bathtub. Not really sure if this bodes well for her, already drinking in the bath. It doesn’t matter though, I love her anyway.

Cordelia comes over and is greeted happily by her mother. Now that Bailie isn’t the TH anymore, most of her holidays aren’t going to be the best unless there is a group thing we can do together.

It’s a busy day at the Otts house, as once Cordelia leaves Bailie’s brother, Brodie, comes over to hang out with his big sister. He’s getting up there in years and I expect to get a notification about him passing fairly soon.

Not only was it love day, it was also the festival of lights. So for a date with Hinata, he took her up to Mt. Komorebi to the festival. They started out by writing their wishes and hanging them on the Tanabata tree in the festival area.

Calvin got himself a Taiyaki to eat at the food stand and then makes some moves on the woman he is falling madly in love with. She is quite happy with his affections and returns them as well. It’s turning out to be a very good date.

The two went and cuddled by the fire that burning in the square and enjoyed watching the fire dancer that was there. It was then that we had Calvin do what we came here to do. He got down on one knee and asked Hinata to be his bride.

She said yes, thank goodness, and gave him a kiss and jumped into his arms. They were now officially engaged. I am so excited to get them married. I really hope Hinata will be a good spouse for this ISBI.

The fact someone started making the fire spark right behind them right after that made me giggle. It’s like the world knew and celebrated with them. Congrats to Calvin and Hinata on the engagement. I opened up the calendar and planned the wedding as soon as Calvin got home.

I noticed that Calvin had some sentiments I had not seen before, so I opened up the panel to look at his sentiments about Hinata, and look at how cute these are. She even has an adorable one about him.

The next morning Bailie comes in and talks with Calvin. I like to imagine this is when he told his mom the good news about his engagement. He has also, officially, now gotten all the things he needs in order to get a promotion at work, and is close to completing the first milestone of his aspiration.

It happens to be Spring Fun Day and the flower bunny comes in and gives Bailie a “bro” type hug. They chat for a bit, but then the flower bunny moves on to another area of the neighborhood.

It has been quite a while since we had a club meeting, so Calvin starts one and then we realize that Bailie is still the head of the group. Calvin convinces her to step down, which makes her sad for a few minutes until everyone shows up and starts on club activities.

Calvin does two things right away as club leader. First, he invites Hinata to join the club, which she is excited to do. Then he sets some club “uniforms” which turn out cute with the new club jackets. Lots of reading is done, which brings Calvin a bit closer on his aspiration and he just needs to finish one more book.

We have multiple ghosts out to haunt this time, and Bailie is up late into the evening, or maybe it was super early in the morning. Either way, she sees her dad Alan and freaks out a bit. It’s hardly the first time she’s seen him.

It’s a stormy day, of course, when the happy couple heads to the wedding venue and gets married out in the rain. It’s a weird ceremony and glitched out a bit at the beginning, but soon enough Hinata Inoue is now Mrs. Otts.

These two are going to be a lot of fun I think. I’m so happy Hinata is a part of the family now. They will bring along generation D, and hey, we are slowly moving through the alphabetcy.

I was busy watching the happy couple when my camera gets pulled into the building in time to see Brodie waving goodbye. Darn it Brodie!!! Man, 2 out of the 3 outings these two have had end up with death happening. Grim, you were NOT invited to this wedding. Our poor new bride has to see yet another death on what should be one of the happiest days.

The reception continues on without too much more fanfare, the cater makes no food, even though there is a full kitchen, and most people just went and got snacks from the fridge instead. I may have to test this lot a little more, but it is really pretty.

Then, poor Bailie, who is starving, and exhausted, ends up peeing herself (although there are open bathrooms at the time and she just never went and used them) so that gives us -5 points already. Hm….I hope this isn’t a sign of things to come. Let’s wrap up this update here and see how the newlyweds handle their new marriage next time.

We are back with the Otts! I know it has been so long and I’m sorry that I was away for so long, but we are back now! I am super excited to be able back with Calvin taking over for this next generation. So let’s get started.

We are going to jump right in with Bailie sitting down and hanging out with Calvin. This is often what Adalyn did with Bailie back when Bailie was the TH. It’s good to know that this tradition, and the chair being near this computer, continues to bring people together.

We get a set of family updates rather quickly this time. David, who is Brodie’s son (and thus should have had a C name, but that’s ok) is now a toddler. Britta is also now an elder, and if you don’t remember her, she is Ariana’s daughter.

It’s time to head out and start looking out for a spouse. We don’t want to leave it for too long. So out we head to the park to see who all is there. It’s mostly a lot of teens and adults, and I’d rather get a young adult if we could.

All right Calvin, do you have anything specifically you are looking for here?

Calvin: Um…not really. Haven’t you done this a lot?

Well yes, but if you have some sort of preferences I’d take those into account.

Since there were not a ton of options at the last place we decide to head to Britechester, where there are bound to be quite a few young adults. At the bar in the neighborhood there are lots and lots of options. Calvin meets them all and talks with a lot of them, but no one builds relationship very quickly.

Maybe it’s because Bailie’s time is coming closer and closer to the end, but when the ghosts are out Bailie goes out to talk and hang out with basically everyone who visits. Looks like we have at least Alan and Audra at least tonight. There might have been someone else too.

Bailie has decided she likes mixology. I find it kind of funny that she liked this so much because Adalyn was the one who needed to like mixology and we couldn’t get her to really touch the bar.

Bailie does still like to work out. Now that she is older though I get a little nervous about her working out so much.

Bailie please be careful. You are not as young as you used to be!

Bailie: But I gotta stay in shape to be here to see my grandkids!

But working out isn’t going to really extend your life at this point, but it could shorten it.

Bailie: I’ll be careful, I promise, and if I get tired I’ll stop.

After work that evening for Calvin, I decided to send him to a club to see if there is anyone there that might be interesting. We see this girl, she is a young adult, and she is single. She, however, does not look too sure about Calvin. I have a feeling he isn’t the smoothest of sims.

Calvin: Hey, I’m trying to talk to this girl if you don’t mind!

You are right, sorry sorry. Just do better?

Random sim: I’m not sure I get why she is laughing.

You and me both.

Random sim: Who was that?

Calvin does manage to start making her laugh, and I realize I am likely going to need to figure out her name.

She makes some of the BEST faces and her relationship with Calvin was skyrocketing up. He did some flirts and she reciprocated without any hesitation. They went in and I had him look into her eyes, and she started tickling him. I think we might have a winner here.

*whispers* Do you like her Calvin?

Calvin: *just nods his head yes while not being able to take his eyes off her.*

*whispers* Good good, I like her too.

Since both of them seem to be feeling all the right feels for each other, Calvin gets up the courage and gives her their first kiss. I was a little slow on the picture taking but she kissed him right back. I LOVE her!

Calvin asks her to be his girlfriend and she quickly says yet. Look at this adorable faces she give us! I cannot get enough of her. They quickly take their little “get together” selfie, that I did not get a picture of, and I their date was almost over.

Awww, so many sweet feels. I think she is going to be a great addition. Let’s hope she is as awesome as she seems like she is. I think it’s time for us to officially learn her name. Every, meet Hinata Inoue. Hinata, maybe you be a wonderful NTH for Calvin!

While I was falling in love with Hinata and Calvin, and they were falling in love with each other, the rest of the people in the club got up and started making these faces. Obviously something bad was happening.

I swing the camera around and see grim is making his way over. The reason everyone was so upset, the man on the floor was a ‘proper celebrity.’ All these people are watching one of their favorite celebrities pass away. That was sort of a bummer way to end this date, but hey, we have found Hinata. Next time we will work on getting her added to the household.

The score hasn’t changed, since we didn’t really do anything towards most of our goals besides finding a spouse. That, however, is a huge step forward, and I’m excited to see how Hinata does as our current TH’s spouse next time. Hi all, I am so excited to be back with another Otts update, FINALLY. I know I’ve taken a very long break, real life had really worn me out and playing and blogging were not at my top priority. However, I am finally able to get back slowly into doing more of this, and I have missed these families, so I’m super happy to bring you an Otts update.

As a quick recap, since it has been so long, last update the family celebrated Winterfest and Bailie finally completed her aspiration to be a bodybuilder. So we have a good set of points going and we are going to hope we don’t lose all of them here. Calvin is close to taking over and I’m looking forward to getting started on the next generation soon.

We start this update seeing that Bailie is reading a book. After completing the bodybuilder aspiration Bailie took on the Nerd Brain aspiration and I figure she is likely to get through a level or 2 without too much issue. We also see one of the twins, I think that’s Corey, is visiting.

The new updates to the game brought BUNK BEDS!!! Which I was so happy about and so we went and updated the kids rooms with bunk beds, which gives us some more room to play around with where to put everything in the rooms. Bailie gets busy working on upgrading the bunk beds to make them more comfortable.

The first evening back with the family we get both Audra and Adalyn haunting. They go around and break basically everything in each bathroom, and I mean nearly everything. All 3 toilets, all 3 sinks, both showers…I think the only thing that didn’t break was the bathtub. It was crazy!

Calvin, who has never really been fit, occasionally gets into workout modes and starts working out on all the different equipment we have.

Calvin: Hey, I work out quite a bit

Yeah, you do, but not usually for very long. You are also a little hit and miss.

Calvin: Well it’s HARD.

Bailie, meanwhile, heads out to read a book in the rain at the plaza across the street. I’m not sure why she decided to go read in the rain, but….sims. I would never do this, it would ruin the book!

However, after reading that book Bailie has managed to complete the first Milestone in her new aspiration! Way to go Bailie, that gives us a +5 points. We really have made up for Alan’s generation, although it makes me nervous for Calvin’s.

Once Bailie and Calvin are both back at home the two play chess and then Bailie helps Calvin with his homework. Calvin has a B right now in school, but he’s close to getting an A. Hopefully he’ll be able to get that A before his birthday.

Calvin does something that I don’t see too terribly often, but after Eddie, who is out haunting tonight, breaks a bunch of stuff in one of the upstairs bathrooms, Calvin starts to fix the toilet himself. This was fully autonomous, and makes me quite happy.

Calvin is quite pleased with himself as he takes his bath and then heads for a nap. Calvin, why are you not going to bed? Oh well, I can’t complain, he isn’t passing out, just napping, but we’ll get through it.

It was time for New Years’ for the Otts’, and so Bailie and Calvin went over to the twins’ house, but their house has nothing in it. I feel like I need to go “update” all the houses I’m not using to make sure they have the things they would need, but regardless everyone came back home with us to celebrate the New Year.

We got a family update, and this time Cora, Brodie’s wife, gave birth to David, although this should have been another C-baby, but that’s ok, they are a spare so I’m not going to worry about it. The Otts’ haven’t had that many kids this generation, so it’s nice to see Brodie have another.

Calvin takes the seat Adalyn used to take to hang out with Bailie as she writes her latest book. Popcorn is still a super popular meal here, even though there is food in the fridge. I have been tempted to remove the popcorn maker, but it’s so good for toddlers.

This family does keep themselves busy. Bailie writes and paints, Calvin has taken up air guitar…and he does it a lot. The ghosts, when not breaking everything, tend to play video games. I feel like I have to keep a close eye on everything.

Calvin has been checking out the different beds in the house lately. He seems to enjoy the updated bunk beds a fair amount. Audra is out again tonight and is playing video games, which means she probably either just finished breaking stuff or is getting ready to.

Ummmm…..Calvin what are you doing??

Calvin: Making hotdogs, what does it look like?

But why are you cooking???

Calvin: Because I’m hungry, why else?

But there are plenty of leftovers…..I don’t want you starting fires

Calvin: I’ve got it, relax.

Calvin: See, I told you.

Yeah, shocking since you didn’t EAT what you just COOKED!

Calvin: Didn’t want hotdogs.

CALVIN…..STOP MAKING FOOD!!!

Calvin: ……

CALVIN….for the love of everything plumbob, PLEASE, I beg you….STOP COOKING. Do you see how much food is behind you. That’s ALL YOU.

Calvin: I haven’t had any problems, see how much I’ve cooked?

I wish I could strangle you right now. If your mother wasn’t asleep and I didn’t want to wake her and have her pass out on me….

I do not understand why you just won’t eat one of the things you have already cooked!

Calvin: I will after that.

*Spoiler* He grabbed a bowl of POPCORN! Why did we want him as heir??

Calvin does eventually head outside and work on a school project for a bit, and when he comes home from school the last day of his teen years he comes home with an A! That is finally +5 points from Calvin.

Bailie came home with her last promotion as well. Too bad she doesn’t get any points for that, but that’s ok. I will probably have her retire, but first, we have a birthday to plan/attend.

The family was all brought over as well as some friends as well, and Bailie made a zombie cake for Calvin. It was a fun party and in the end, when Calvin blew out his candles, we say goodbye to Bailie being the TH and welcome Calvin to that role. Bailie brought us back up in points so much and I am so happy that we’ve been able to get them up beyond where they were. Let’s check out the points Calvin will have a chance to lose…ahem, I mean add on to. Oh, but first, Calvin also got 2 character value traits, Responsible and Compassionate. Hello and welcome back to another entry in this Alphabetcy/ISBI! We are getting closer to generation C taking over, and man, when I think about the fact there are still 24 generations to go it’s insane. Why did I do this to myself??? Anyway, let’s check in with the family, shall we?

We start with Bailie drinking her one and only youth potion. I was getting notices about it almost being her time, and we still have multiple days before Calvin is ready to take over, so while I know she’s ready to go be with Adalyn, we can’t lose her quite yet.

Bailie then goes and starts working out. I keep a close eye on her, because while she needs to finish up the bodybuilding aspiration I’m also not about to let her die from working out too much.

While Bailie was working out Calvin came out and started working on one of the multiple school projects he and his sister have started but never finished. I wonder if anyone will ever finish them if I just leave them out?

Bailie is also still working on getting to the top of her career. Not that it’s critical, but if we can get her through this it will help. She is confident after her workout and decides to write this fun title.

And just because I think they are fun, here is a list of books Bailie has published. I did name most of these, and one of my favorites is the workout book Sweat it Up, Sweat it Out!

And then Bailie did it, she maxed out writing. Not that it provides us any points since she is the TH, but hey, I’ll take what I can get as it means we might be able to get her through some new aspiration levels depending on what we get for her next one, if we do.

One of the twins is over, I cannot, for the life of me, remember which one this is, but Calvin and Bailie are always happen to have any of them stop by the house.

Bailie then goes around and starts upgrading the beds. She doesn’t have enough handiness to do both upgrades, but we can at least make most of the beds more comfortable.

It’s Winterfest for the family and we have split the holiday into two days. I stole it from IllusoryThrall and if you don’t read her blogs or watch her stream I suggest you start! 🙂

Winterfest Eve is made up of decorating the house, putting up the tree, Father Winter coming (because of course he comes BEFORE you open presents Winterfest morning) and attending a holiday service. It was a lot of fun to allow them to decorate and have Father Winter arrive while they were starting to get ready for bed.

Bailie managed to ask Father Winter for a gift. Why this Father Winter has a very red beard I’m not sure. Gotta love those later game Father Winters that show up.

Father Winter then proceeds to go outside and find some spoiled food that I didn’t even know was there, it was probably Calvin.

Calvin: Hey!

You’re the one that keeps testing me by cooking.

Anyway, he also changes into swim trunks and sits by the pool. You can tell his arm also glitched into his stomach making him look REALLY weird.

Then I learn that APPARENTLY I missed a marriage notification for Brodie. He is married and is now expecting a new little Otts! I also noticed that Bryce is now gone and I missed his death notice. Britta has also gotten married, which means I forgot to go flag her, she is Ariana’s daughter. We’ll go check that she won’t have kids.

The next day being Winterfest means we invite over all the kids and Brodie as well. We have everyone over to open presents, have a grand meal and then play games together. It’s a wonderful Winterfest and I really like the split, so I think I’ll keep it and put it in more of my challenges like this.

Right after Winterfest is done we are told that Brodie is now an elder. That means he’s not likely to see his child grow up to adulthood, but hopefully his wife will be around for a while yet.

Calvin gets energized and decides to go work out. He has had a pudge for quite a while, so it surprises me a bit, but I’ll take it. It’s rare for me to have super in shape sims unless they have the athletic aspirations.

Then we get some great news! Bailie has maxed out her fitness skill! No, sadly, this still doesn’t provide us any new points, but it’s a feat nonetheless, especially since she is lazy.

But even more importantly it means that Bailie has completed her aspiration! That’s right, the lazy sim who helped us lose so many points during her toddler years, but also stole my heart, has finished the bodybuilding aspiration. That is +15 points! Way to go Bailie!

With that, before anything can go downhill again, we are going to wrap up this update. I know it’s a little shorter than I sometimes do, but I don’t dare tempt my game since we gained some points. Next time we will probably see Calvin grow up and take over the reigns as our new TH!

Right before I go though, here is Brodie’s new step-daughter, Brynlee, and his wife Cora. Then we have Britta’s new husband, Douglas. I’m hoping we will see Cora and Brodie’s newest baby next time as well. Let’s look at the points! We are ALMOST at 200 guys!!! We have actually made up for last generation. It’s very exciting!

We are back with the Otts again today and welcome back. Last time we had a tragic death of Adalyn who drown in the pool during her children’s birthday party. It was quite sad and everyone in the family is super sad. Cordelia moved out and we are left with Calvin (your chosen heir) and Bailie left. So let’s check in.

We find Bailie cleaning up the bathroom. Adalyn often did the cleaning while Bailie worked on her books and her work, but now she has to take that over and handle a lot more of the house herself.

The house went into it’s own form of “grief” by having nearly everything break. I wish I could blame the ghosts, but it wasn’t them this time. Bailie had to fix the downstairs stereo, the upside stereo, the kids computer, the fridge and the stove. Thankfully she is able to do it without issue.

HarvestFest is here again for the family and the gnomes decide to gather around the fridge. It always interests me where they decide to gather. It can be irritating when they block the sims from being able to do things like cook though.

Wait, what….why? Why are you grilling Calvin???? What are you doing?

Calvin: Don’t worry, I got it, plus, mom is trying to get to the stove to cook.

Right, I’m helping her GET to the stove so you don’t need to cook.

Calvin: It’s fine, see, I got it. No fire.

One of the brothers, I can’t remember if this is Cedric or Corey, came over and joined his mom and brother for the meal. The gnomes all gathered around to keep them company as well.

Calvin decides to pick up where Cordelia left off by starting some of the school project sitting out in the yard. One of them might have been destroyed as well.

Calvin has some evening popcorn with his great grandma Julia. The family is still very much missing Adalyn, but life is slowly returning to normal for them. It will be WinterFest before too long.

After talking with Julia he goes and hangs out with his mom while she works on her book some more. She has been writing a grief book and a book about her life. Hopefully they will sell well. We are still not swimming in money or even have enough to feel comfortable adding on/changing up the house much.

Bailie is down to having just a little bit of work left to finish up her fitness skill. Since she is lazy it takes a long time for her to get a single point. I need to remember to have her use the fact she can drink an energy drink more often to help.

We got a notice that Cordelia is moving into the world, which means she might eventually get married, but we will see. Adalyn also comes out to haunt. Bailie goes and hugs her, and you can get a little peak at the make-over I gave her before.

Bailie works with Calvin to make sure he is still doing his homework and working his way towards an A. He is working hard on school most of the time and I think we should be able to get an A without too much effort.

WHY!!!????? There is so much food sitting in the fridge that is still good. We don’t need MORE food!

Calvin: But I wanted Mac n Cheese.

Oh my gosh, I swear if you start a fire…..

Calvin: You know, I have gained you points multiple times, maybe you should trust me some.

Yeah, not going to happen. Can you PLEASE wait until you are heir to cook? PLEASE???

The house is quite, and there isn’t much going on with it just being these two, but they are counting on each other. I’m starting to get notices about Bailie’s time almost being up. I don’t really want to give her a youth potion, but Calvin has over a week left before he is heir.

It has been quite a while since I went ahead and did a club meeting, and since the kids can all still be a part of it, we go ahead and throw a meeting. The kids and Bailie work out, read together, and hang out with each other. Hopefully this will all help Calvin in school.

Bailie needs to finish up a sliver of the writing skill, and the logic skill for her job, and about 20% left on the final fitness skill. I know not much happened this time, but it feels like a good place to wrap this up. The score didn’t actually change, and that’s ok. Hopefully next time we will see Calvin get an A, Bailie finishing her aspiration, and Calivn growing up.

Hello and welcome back to another update of the Otts family. Today we should have some more birthdays and hopefully we will get some additional points and other things completed. So let’s check in with the family.

We took another trip down to the park to see if we could get Calvin his first level of the Rambunctious Scamp. We brought Corey and Cedric along as well, but Calvin once again will play for a little bit and then stop. I’m guessing this is just Calvin and not an issue, but we went ahead and went home so we didn’t lose points.

Audra: *sob* This bathroom is flooding, I mop and mop but can’t stop it.

It’s your fault Audra! If you would stop breaking the sink it would stop flooding the bathroom.

Audra: But I’m mopping and mopping….

Yes, because water is still spewing out of the sink……ugh, never mind.

Bailie barely looks like herself anymore to me, she really did buckle down and work on her fitness. She writes fitness books frequently and we just need to finish up getting the skill maxed.

Bailie: Can you possibly keep it down over there? I am trying to write.

Oh, sorry Bailie.

Calvin comes home with an A in school on this day. Way to go Calvin! That is +5 points! This generation really has brought us back from the last one. Here’s hoping we can keep this going.

Cordelia asks to bring a friend home from school and of course we say yes. This guy shows up and while his outfit, for me, leaves a lot to be desired, Cordelia did go from a rotten mood to laughing and smiling.

Our original founding wife, Julia, comes out to haunt and Bailie is happy to see her grandma. It’s been a little while since Julia, or Eddie actually, have haunted. I believe Julia also left our plumbing alone.

Adalyn maxed out her dancing skill a couple updates ago, but that doesn’t mean she has stopped dancing. She really loves to dance. The next time I do make-overs I’m probably going to give Adalyn a slightly updated look.

These two are just too cute for words. While Bailie is working on her new book, I rearranged the upstairs a bit, and Adalyn heads up and sits next to her and keeps her company. I am going to miss these two when they are gone.

Dear Brodie stopped by and when the kids get home from school everyone hangs out with Brodie and catches up with him. I’m not sure how this family got so close, they did it all on their own since I can only control Bailie.

Ever the studious boy Calvin does his homework, but apparently he glitched himself to the top of the cat tree. Either that or he is trying to turn into a cat. Calvin, that’s not really going to help your sister with her aspiration you know.

Meanwhile, Cordelia continues her habit of going out and randomly starting a school project that is sitting in the yard, and then just getting up and walking away from it later. Since she has an A I’m not worried about, but it is funny to me.

It’s Alan’s turn to haunt this night and once again Bailie is happy to see her past family members. She knows she will be joining them at some point, but hopefully not in the near future.

Adalyn enjoys relaxing in the pool sometimes. Outside of Bailie using it to do laps Adalyn is about the only one to use the pool. The kids don’t really go in for some reason.

Today is the day of the kids birthday. That morning they have some breakfast together before they head off to school. We will be throwing a party after everyone gets home from school and work this day.

The family is invited over and Cordelia is the first to blow out her candles. Bailie made a matcha cake for the kids and with that Cordelia is now a young adult and will be moving out. She did not make any progress on her aspiration, but she did get two character traits, Responsible and Good Manners. That is +10 points!

Next up its Calvin’s turn at the cake and he grows up with a bit of a weird hair for him. I think Calvin is going to be a pretty handsome young man. When I am in giving him a make-over I am going to do a small make-over on Adalyn as well.

Here Calvin is after his make-over. He is a very handsome boy I think. So Calvin, obviously did not complete his childhood aspiration. He has added Glutton to his Kleptomaniac trait and got the Quick Learner from choosing Renaissance Sim for an aspiration.

As I come out of giving the make-overs my camera is drawn to the pool. No Adalyn, NO NO NO NO NO!!!!!! Bailie tries, desperately to plead with Grim but to no avail. I can’t believe this just happened. That would be a -10 points.

Cordelia stays around long enough to get Adalyn placed into the garden next to Alan and Audra and then she gathered her things and moved out. That is where I am going to end this update. I can’t believe Adalyn is gone and I’m just not ready to play anymore, so let’s go to the points.

Hello and welcome back after far too long to a new Otts update. As you might remember, right before I switched over to do a summer challenge for boolprop.net, we started an heir poll to see who would be our next heir in this crazy ISBI/Alphabetcy. So let’s start with finding out who that heir is going to be.

CALVIN OTTS

Yes, that’s right, the youngest kid of this generation is your choice to be the next heir of this challenge. It wasn’t really a close race and here is how the points broke down:

Calvin: 14 points (8 on boolprop, 6 on WP)
Corey: 7 points (3 on boolprop, 5 on WP)
Cordelia: 4 points (3 on boolprop, 1 on WP)
Cedric: 1 point (1 on boolprop)

Unlike last generation, where you, my dear readers, were as conflicted as I was, we had a very clear favorite this time. I would have also loved having Corey or Cordelia or even Cedric, I loved all the kids here but Calvin is moving on as TH. That means we have quite a bit of time before the new generation takes over though, since Calvin is still a child, so let’s get going.

When we first open the house after so many months away I have to reorient myself a bit, and our first order to business is to move Cedric and Corey out. They have been added to the gallery if you want to pop them into your own hood at some point, all my sims are under #ciyrosesims or a hashtag specific to the challenge. We will catch up with them as they progress through their lives here, and this generation has always been close so I doubt it will take them long to visit.

Calvin: Um..thanks. Why was I chosen?

I don’t know, we’d have to ask the voters, but you are cute and have some fun traits coming up as you grow up so that is probably why.

Calvin: I’m nervous.

Aww, don’t be. You are going to be great, just keep doing your homework. We want that A.

Calvin: That will make me a good heir like mom?

It’s a great start!

Bailie is still working on her aspiration. You may or may not remember after all this time but Bailie is going for Bodybuilder, but it also lazy, so it’s been tough for her to gain the fitness skill. She has reached level 8 though, so she’s getting close.

Cordelia is still here as well and is being a pretty normal teen sitting down to play some video games. She is getting close to an A in school as well and it would be great to get those points.

You can see that all the work she’s put in is paying off for Bailie. She has actually reached her maximum body potential, before finishing up the fitness level. Adalyn, as always, is right there to cheer her on.

The kids come home the next day from school and we get the awesome news that Cordelia has done it! She got an A and that is +5 points for us. This family has really made up for the disaster that was Alan’s generation.

I’m so sorry Bailie!!!! I totally missed that it was your birthday! Plus your all splotchy!

Bailie: Is that any way to treat your best generations heir?

I know, I know, it’s been too long since I played you guys and I totally missed your birthday was already here too.

Bailie: Well maybe next time you won’t leave of us for so long, and if you don’t mind I want to go back to bed since I don’t feel good.

Cor, I appreciate that you do your homework so diligently every day. You got the A, but I certainly don’t want to lose it.

Cordelia: Well I may not be heir, but it’s ok. I’ll be successful on my own.

That’s my girl! You will, and I’m excited for you to get out in the world!

We got a couple of little mini family updates for you already. The boys, Cedric and Corey are moving into Rockridge Springs already and Claire, Adalyn’s niece is now a teenager.

In an attempt to help little Calvin out with his aspiration we head to the playground. Cordelia talks with some people and Calvin does not cooperate at all. He plays for a handful of minutes, never gets playful and the goes to chat with people. I use Bailie to try and influence him to play some more and nothing. So we give up for the day and head home before anyone passes out or pees themselves.

Brodie is joining us for the evening, having stopped by. Hi Brodie!! He is, like his brother, a confirmed bachelor at this point. Bailie is the only child of her generation to have kids, which is pretty crazy for me.

Bailie is working hard on some books still and she still needs to get up to level 10 to finish up her writing career. She also is trying to paint, and the family is still not flush with money, but can at least pay the bills. They are slowly building up a bit of a nest egg, and hopefully Calvin will be able to add to it.

Adalyn is still an amazing mom and will talk to her kids about almost anything. She is so very close to reaching the maximum level in parenting, but we’ll see if she makes it or not.

Cordelia: Mama spends a pretty decent about of time writing books, especially fitness books.

Adalyn: Oh yes, she does. It’s really her passion in life dear.

Why thank you Calvin for cleaning up. The sink was even repaired so this actually makes a big difference.

Calvin: Doing what I can to help.

Otts Family – Generation B Heir Poll

Hey guys, can you believe we are already at the heir poll for Generation B?? We are going to be picking the next TH that will lead off Generation C.

Hopefully you are caught up on the family, or at least this generation. Feel free to catch up if you need to, or just pick who you like the look of the most. The poll will be up here and also over at boolprop.net. Feel free to vote in either or both places. The polls will be until until the 11th.

Let’s take a look at your choices.

First up is Corey. He is the twin to Cedric and has an aspiration I’ve never tried before and think it could be fun. He’s pretty adorable and got himself all A’s in school. He did ok as a toddler, had some trouble right after we moved, but as since done well. He’s almost through his first level of the aspiration and would be fun.

Next is Cedric, Corey’s twin brother. Cedric also has an aspiration I haven’t done before, and he has an interesting set of traits. He manged to get Happy Toddler, and also got an A in high school.

Cordelia, as is common in this family, is the only girl in this generation. Cordelia has done well so far. She got Happy Toddler, and an A in elementary school. She is working towards an A in high school, but I’m not 100% sure about her aspiration.

Calvin is the youngest child of the generation. He has some interesting traits, and I haven’t ever done Renaissance Sim yet, but I think it could be fun to do. I also have never played the Law career and think it could be fun to try.

I believe Cordelia and Calvin are on track to get some positive traits, but I’m not 100% sure if they will keep them. All 4 of these kids would be a lot of fun. All four of them have some good and bad things about them, but also all have a bunch of personality. If one of the twins is chosen the torch will pass immediately, if Cordelia or Calvin is picked I have a little more time to try and get Bailie through her aspiration.

I don’t actually envy you this time, as all of these kids are fun. I hope you have enjoyed this generation and I’m excited to see who is chosen!
