Hello and welcome to the Genetics challenge (attempt 2 since I tried this once before) for the Boolprop 20th Birthday Challenge. Let’s do a quick introduction to our family.

We start off with Rudy and Madilyn Cobb. Rudy has red eyes and red hair and Madilyn obviously is blonde and she has light green eyes.

Next is their child Terrance and his wife Alivia. Terrance inherited his father’s red hair and eyes (so Madilyn’s coloring will be worth the most) and Alivia has black hair and eyes.

Terrance and Alivia’s child, Clinton, got his mother’s black hair and eyes (so red hair/eyes is our next most valuable), and his wife Ember who got a more dirty blonde hair and turquoise eyes.

Those ancestors led to our young couple for this challenge, Olivia, with white hair and eyes, and Nathanial with brown hair and light brown eyes. All of the color combos I chose should be inheritable, and possible to have by infants and toddlers (I think, but I’ll likey wait until child or teen to officially count the points.)

First things first, these two need to get together. We have 14 kids to have. If you don’t remember the rules, I have posted the rules for each of the 5 challenges on the parent page to this challenge, or you can find them here.

Well, Nathanial didn’t waste any time. However, I have not told you a thing about these two, not that it will be super important but Nathanial will be the parent who gets to work outside the house as a writer. He wants to be a best-selling author.

All right, and now it is official. You guys have a lot of kids to have. Olivia will be staying at home with the kids and painting to help earn money for all of these kids. She wishes to become a super parent.

Nathanial, you need to make babies. You also need to write, but get to it.

YAY. I apparently didn’t bother to take a picture of the woohoo that caused this, but our first nooboo is on the way.

Taking a walk around the town at night while pregnant is probably fine right? At least it’s still the first trimester.

Awww, Nathanial is smitten with the new baby already, and can barely keep his hands off his wife.

Le sigh, of course, the vampires would break in and get Nathanial. What’s weird is Olivia was up, but she must have been asleep just long enough to allow it to trigger.

Baby time! Please be one baby, please be one baby!

YAY it’s a girl, and she is named Harmony. There will be a naming theme for this challenge, so let me know your guesses in the comments.

Olivia is determined to get good at repairing things and being a mother. Both are very good ideas for a couple that will have 14 kids.

YAY, Nathanial got a promotion! Great job Nathanial.

The couple that cooks together stays together I guess.

Baby sparkles mean just one thing. It’s time for Harmony to grow up!

Awww, she’s a cutie and has black hair from her grandpa, and I can’t tell about her eyes quite yet. I think they are white like her mom’s.

Gotta get some tummy time in. Harmony is an Intense infant because of course she is. At least she’s the first and only so far.

Well, we got all three of her quirks. What a combo. Snuggly sleeper might be the death of Olivia.

See, she’s just tied to the little infant now so she can sleep. It’s so cute though.

Ok, I’m bad at this, another woohoo that I did not get pictures of, led to another nooboo on the way. My horrible picture aside, WOO!

Nathanial is bringing home the bacon too. Another promotion! Yes, we need the cash. I haven’t pictured it, but Olivia is working diligently on painting.

Time flies and now we are trying new foods with Harmony. There are a couple of foods she is unsure about, but she seems like like or love most of the foods she tries.

Nathanial completes a milestone of his aspiration, which is great! He’s moving right along, and I promise, I haven’t shown it, but he helps a lot with Harmony too.

Poor Olivia, it’s all just been too much for her.

They are still all over each other, all the time. This, or shortly thereafter, prompts labor though and while I sent Olivia to the hospital, she left the lot but apparently didn’t make it, because I got the notice we had the baby.

Make that BABIES. Oh my gosh. This was NOT the plan. Meet Charles and Riley. Do not ask me which is which, I do not know.

Time for double-team parenting. These two are going to keep us busy I just know it. I don’t have enough cribs or room for 2 cribs in the infant room yet.

Well, at least Nathanial is rocking it up the career ladder. That’s something, and we are starting to get slightly more royalties on books now.

Time for candles. Goodness look at that little face. It’s official, she has black hair and white eyes. She is an Independent toddler, THANK GOODNESS!

Toddler room all set, and Olivia helps with potty training. Gotta get at least level 3 in all the skills.

Well, we got all her toddler traits. Good appetite makes sense, of course, she still loves being carried, and now she hates wakeup time. At least she is independent.

Oh see, Nathanial reads her to sleep. I told you he does help!

AH, see, also proof that Olivia is painting. All those small paintings on the back wall, they are also hers! She has a few in the infant room too.

It’s a holiday, so down to the rec center we go for some water fun for the toddler, and then back home for sparkler fun for the adults. I’m so looking forward to having kids old enough to help soon.

Baby sparkles! So first up is Charles, who has black hair and what looks like grey eyes (which isn’t in the family, so we’ll see when he grows up a bit more.) Meanwhile, Riley gets red hair from his great-grandfather and could have white eyes again. I will call the colors officially at their child stage I think, although I’ll check again at teen to make sure.

Tummy time starts again. Charles is a Calm infant, while Riley is a Wiggly infant, so we spend time with Charles, as Riley is more likely to get some milestones on his own.
Ok, that is where we are going to call this one everyone. I hope you had some fun. This is going to likely be the speed and style of blog I do for this family (although I will try and do better at some of it) just so I don’t get bogged down in long blogs. See you next time when the twins should be toddlers!
