Boolprop 20: Easter Eggs Chapter 2

Previous Chapter | Next Chapter | To Sweet Lips

Welcome back to the Easter Egg challenge. The last time we saw Tara, she was getting started with this challenge, and managed to buy all the point providing build/buy items. She also worked a bit on her career and played a lot of games. Let’s check in on her second week!

Week 2:

We start the second week with a lawn sale of all the various items that Tara has acquired and does not currently need. She needs the weather machine, so she can work on getting it upgraded. That’s going to take some time, and I’d like to start soon.

The welcome wagon of Nancy and Geoffrey Landgraab finally arrives to welcome Tara to the neighborhood. She mostly ignores them to play her game.

While Tara was “hanging out” with the welcome wagon, or playing BlicBlock in this case, we decided to change out the window. While this gives us no points, it is an easter egg. The window’s name is a play on the band Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark.

We had enough money to also purchase this wall light. The Marker Shard is a play on the Dead Space video game series, where The Marker is one of the objects/entities in the game that looks kind of similar to the light.

We have also been able to finally get and start updating the Weather Machine, which we will need to use in order to keep it spring all the time. It’s going to take quite a bit of updating to get there, but Tara should be able to do it.

One final Easter Egg item Tara was able to purchase was this Sirens’ Glowing Pylon light. This, again, dosn’t give us any additional points, but it’s fun to try and find and get all of these. This one is based on the Siren or Forbidden Siren video game.

Tara was in need of some fun, and we needed to get to reading some Easter Egg books. We can read 5 of them for a max of 25 points, 5 points each. Lucas Dark and The Increasingly Unlikely Series of Coincidences is her first book to read, and this is a reference to the Series of Unfortunate Events books. That gives Tara +5 points.

Tara decided to go to the Hijinks festival in the hopes of doing enough mischief to get a voodoo doll. Sadly, she was one of the only people at the festival who joined the pranksters, and so there was a tie.

Tara was not in the best mood when I had her make herself some tea. It’s Earl Grey, Hot, which gives us 10 points and is a reference to Star Trek, where this is Picard’s standard order.

Tara has bonded a lot with her bees and sent them out to bring her back something. Sometimes they will bring postcards, so I thought we might as well try. This time they brought us a fossil, though, so it’s added to our table to sell.

Tara came home with a promotion! She’s doing really well so far in this career, and hopefully we’ll be able to max it without too many issues, and then we can join the science career.

Tara starts a new yard sale, trying to sell off some of the excess items. She has quite a few from her garden and breeding frogs. She is also selling honey, and is able to typically sell at 100% or 200% markup at this point.

Tara finally got an easel to allow us to start painting, as there are easter egg paintings we need. Sadly, this is not one of them. It is kind of a fun painting, though. I like it.

It may be small, but Tara does still take care of this garden as it’s bringing her in some much-needed money. We are going to have to expand this house for a child before TOO terribly long.

Tara stops by a distant neighbor’s house. This is a neighborhood over, but if you know who lives here, you might have an idea of what Tara is here for.

Yep, it’s the infamous Don Lothario. Technically, Katrina Caliente is downstairs, but Don is not the committed type, literally. So Tara doesn’t have any qualms about using him for what she needs.

They go on a little date and enjoy some closet woohoo, after which Don gives Tara a rose. It’s actually pretty cute. I get why people would fall for Don. Sadly, no pregnancy yet, but we’ve got some time.

The next yard sale that Tara holds has a lot of people stop by and many things are purchased. She keeps the table well stocked and is happy to provide so much produce to the neighborhood.

Tara buys herself some medicine and takes it as one of our next Easter Eggs. She is now overmedicated and gets the “this is your brain on drugs” description. I grew up when these were all over the TV, so it’s kind of funny. This gives us 10 points.

Don comes over to visit Tara, and she is very suave with him. He seems a bit taken aback. Hey Don, turnabout is fair play. Tara is just using you, and I’m pretty sure you know it.

There is still no pregnancy, but Don gets a key to our house so he can come over whenever he wants. Eventually, Tara will have a baby with Don, and I want him to be able to come over and see the kid anytime he wants.

That, however, wraps up week two of this challenge. We did not add a ton of points this week, but we did add some. She finished last week with 135 points, and we added another 15 points, but can give ourselves another 10 points for blogging this challenge. That gives us a new total of 170 points. When we are back for week 3, Tara will probably try and at least get pregnant with her one and only baby. I hope to see you then, and thanks for reading!

I have been playing sims since TS1 and even played a little bit of the PS2 version and the mobile versions over time. Once I discovered challenges for TS2 I never looked back. I love the sims, the families I've been able to make, and play through the years, and connecting with people about them. I work from home as a QTC Admin for my company, have a cat I adore and have a million hobbies I feel like I will never have time to completely explore.
