Comic Summer: Post 1.02

Post 1.01 | Rules | Family Tree | Post 1.03

Welcome back to the Comic Summer. The last update saw Autumn Comic head to the jungle to find her spouse, become a spell caster, and start the clean up of Sulani. This gets us started on each of our main goals, and we have been lucky to not have anything break, flamingos kicked over, and we haven’t broken any rules yet.

Right before we check in with the family I made myself a list of founder requirements for this challenge, so let’s check those out:

Founder Requirements

  • IL: Live on Mua Pel’am
  • IL: Clean up Sulani completely (in progress)
  • IL: Complete Beach Life aspiration (in progress)
  • IL: Start Buried Treasure collection (ongoing)
  • IL: Start Seashell collection (ongoing)
  • JA: Go to Selvadorada to find a spouse
  • JA: Start Ancient Artifact collection (ongoing)
  • JA: Build a relic and use it on someone outside of the family (in progress)
  • RoM: Become a spellcaster

Autumn has done well so far. Three requirements down, 3 will be continuing through additional generations, so just 3 more to get done along with the 3 pregnancies. So let’s see how the couple is fairing now.

The next morning the flamingos are checked and are still standing, so the couple has breakfast in their new kitchen/dining room. There will be kids soon, which means we will need more rooms, which means work.

Vegetarian Dumplings are the meal for today, and Autumn is getting better. We will need to get through a Kava party for her aspiration still, and Desiree needs to get skills leveled up.

While Desiree cleans up, Autumn practices her magic. Luckily she has learned Repario, which means, as things begin to break, we should be easily able to fix them.

Autumn: So…should we think about a baby.

Desiree: A baby? YES, LET’S DO IT!

LOL….seriously, I love Desiree’s faces. She’s very expressive.

And we have the B-baby on board. We will be waiting until the birth to determine if she has multiple or not. I’m sure we will get at least one set of twins each generation. I’m mostly worried for triplets, as twins will allow us to keep everyone at home.

That night Autumn works on more potions, while Desiree works on reading more books. She needs logic and we bought the first 2 levels of basically all skill books so she had things to learn easily.

The next morning the two head out and start beach combing. Between beach combing for trash and seashells the girls were very successful, and we are quickly on our way to getting the seashell collection complete.

Then it’s back to potion making. We are going to need to go back to the jungle at some point, so might as well make them now. Desiree is busy surveying thing for work.

We did bring back some artifacts from our last expedition so Autumn gets to work on authenticating some. The potion also turned out well, as you can see. I love this potion.

We do have a popcorn machine, but Autumn tries to keep the family in fruit salad and other vegetarian dishes. I love these PJ’s on her with her pregnant belly. She is handling pregnancy ok, but she really gets hungry a lot.

Desiree checks on the flamingos, which are all still standing, and gets right to work tending the garden before heading in for breakfast. Both girls are doing well in their jobs, and Desiree will probably be switching before too much longer.

Both of them are very excited to meet the new baby. Autumn is getting tired of being pregnant already, and is just tired all the time, so it’s been up to Desiree to do most of the island clean up.

That’s ok though, because Desiree needs to gain fitness. She is still very slow at swimming, while Autumn already got built up doing all the clean up herself before.

Studying session that night gives the girls some time to study and relax before heading to bed. Especially since tonight is special.

Desiree: OH MY GOSH, a baby is on the way!

Yes, so go to the hospital.

Desiree: Hospital right…

Autumn: Are you coming Desiree??

Autumn: Can we get this baby out yet?

Is Desiree going to join you?

Autumn: No, she is freaking out and going to watch TV.

Oh boy….

Well, it’s at least not triplets. Welcome Blossom and Brook Comic.

So back at home, 6 more flamingos are added to our herd. This is already getting to be a lot of flamingos. I have a feeling we are going to be wishing for a larger lot before it’s all said and done. I might have to move the house.

Dual parenting for the win. The girls are already doing well so far, and Desiree is gaining parenting quickly. It will likely be one of her higher level skills. She already has Selvadorada Culture maxed, being a past resident.

At about 11:30 AM Desiree gives us our first broken item when breaking the toilet. We are lucky to have it be so close to noon. I do not expect our luck to last with that.

So just before 12:30 Autumn is able to go in and cast Repario to fix the toilet. She also knows the cleaning spell and uses that a fair amount as well. I love having a spell caster!

Both girls head out to do additional clean up of the island, and also are heading to go diving for additional sea shells to work on that collection. This has been a great location for these two getting fitness.

Desiree loves her girls, and while Autumn is off diving she takes care of both of them by herself. I believe this is Brook, and Blossom is still in the bassinet.

We finally hold the Kava party, and even Father Winter shows up! This is quite the group and I don’t think we invited all of these people, but that’s ok. At the very last second Autumn gets the gold she needed and she now needs to grill food and beachcomb a lot more.

The next morning we check the flamingos and discover that there is a sink that needs to be repaired at noon, which happens without issues.

The day the work goes quickly, and the girls share a move night together before heading to bed. The next day is a big day for the family.

Happy Birthday to Brook and Blossom. The days have gone by quickly and the girls are now both toddlers. I love them both and they are super cute. They are instantly started on learning to walk and then left to start their toddler skills while Autumn heads to give them a make-over.

Brook (whom I keep adding an e too, but her name has no e) got Autumn’s eyes, while Blossom is a born spellcaster. Blossom also gets the independent trait, as well as the weak bloodline trait, while Brook gets the Angelic trait to go along with weak bloodline.

I love these two already, and twins can play and talk with each other so much and makes toddler training easier, in my opinion. I can’t get over how cute they both are. I am excited to see how all these kids grow up.

Even Desiree seems to want to hang out with her daughters while everyone eats. They are just way too cute already. I’m going to be glad for an heir poll I think.

Bedtime stories are easier when you’ve got two parents who work from home. Both of the girls are put to bed after their first day as toddlers to get some good sleep and start their skilling in earnest.

The next night, after a busy day of skilling and work, a visitor comes over. It’s the tourist working as a bar maid that was almost our spouse. She is good friends with Autumn still, and Desiree knows her as well, of course. It’s fun to have the whole family together for a quiet night.

Our first little mess maker appears to be Brook. She is supposed to be getting put to bed, but instead she escaped and made this mess. I am watching you little girl.

Both girls need logic, so they spend some time at the new chess table that was bought for them. I need to get Autumn back to the jungle, but I want to focus on the toddlers for now. One of the O babies will be our Bad Apple for the generation.

Speaking of the next babies, Autumn and Desiree decide it’s time for another baby, who will grow up right about the same time that the twins become children, which feels like the perfect timing.

We had not managed to get our hands on strawberries yes, and thus, got very lucky with the twins. So I discovered that this stand in the city carries strawberries, so we grab some and head home.

Where we find Desiree working out. As the family gets ready for bed this night Desiree breaks the toilet. This is the only one they have, and of course, it can’t be fixed until noon the next day. Luckily, there is the public bathroom on the next island over. So the next morning both Autumn and Desiree are required to swim over there to use the facilities.

After she reached the island, Desiree shows her erratic trait and isn’t happy with this early morning swim with a full bladder. Sorry Desiree, I would be mad at me too, but you broke the toilet.

Desiree: It’s empty!

Yes, it got glitched and I had to empty it.

Desiree: But I’ve got a bowl here.

Well you can make more.

I put some food in the toddler room to keep them from having to get up too far for food, and they sit and talk with each other on their beds. Seriously so cute!

At noon there is much rejoicing when Autumn can repair the toilet. Then, at 1:02 PM the sink is broken. Seriously people, we need to stop breaking things. I also need to expand the house some more, and get some more bathrooms. Luckily the girls have a good amount of money at this point.

So with that last look, we are going to call this update complete. It’s a little longer than usual again, but hopefully you all don’t mind. Next time we will see the newest baby (or babies) make their appearances.

I have been playing sims since TS1 and even played a little bit of the PS2 version and the mobile versions over time. Once I discovered challenges for TS2 I never looked back. I love the sims, the families I've been able to make, and play through the years, and connecting with people about them. I work from home as a QTC Admin for my company, have a cat I adore and have a million hobbies I feel like I will never have time to completely explore.
