Hello and welcome back to this wacky challenge. Things are going along slowly but steadily. Last time we saw the final kids of this generation born, the initial three grew up some and Desiree had her adult birthday. At the end of this update we will have an heir poll, so let’s get started by looking at the founding requirements

Founder Requirements

  • IL: Live on Mua Pel’am
  • IL: Clean up Sulani completely (in progress)
  • IL: Complete Beach Life aspiration (in progress)
  • IL: Start Buried Treasure collection (ongoing)
  • IL: Start Seashell collection (ongoing)
  • JA: Go to Selvadorada to find a spouse
  • JA: Start Ancient Artifact collection (ongoing)
  • JA: Build a relic and use it on someone outside of the family (in progress)
  • RoM: Become a spellcaster

We have made some decent progress on everything and hopefully we will mark a few more things off that list as we go. So let’s head into see what’s going on with the family.

So for some reason, believe it was because of a sickness that happened to the family for a day, Blossom didn’t go to school the first day. So when Brook brought home a school project she helped her complete it.

Autumn is hard at work authenticating our artifacts to get that collection going. We are also starting a house club. The approved activities are homework and conservation activities. I want to get this island cleaned up (I am required to actually) so I’m going to get the whole family to help.

We have the shelving set up for the seashells and the buried treasure. As you can see we have a good start on the seashells already. A little over half, as we have 6 left and we have collected 7 so far. The buried treasure we have more work to do for sure, but it’s a least a start.

All the work that Autumn has put into authenticating and uncovering artifacts has also been paying off. I don’t have a great place to put them inside right now, so they are going out here on the side of the house. There are still quite a few to go however, so we will need to keep working.

Desiree has been in charge of the “garden” since she went into the gardening career. I cannot remember if I mentioned that before, I think I did, but this will be career #2 that she gets to level 3. We have also put our gnomes out to “guard” the flamingos.

Desiree has also been in charge of helping to sell all the extra seashells, artifacts, and other items that are not needed. We are doing a decent job of it so far, and it brings in some decent money once in awhile, especially if we have extra jungle treasure.

As hard as it might be to believe, it’s time for birthday’s again. Orca and Oceana grow up into toddler today and Desiree and Autumn get them started on skills right away.

Here are the girls after a bit of a make-over. Orca is in the green and she rolled the Clingy trait. Well she’s going to have to get over that a lot, because this family is busy busy busy. Oceana is in the blue, and probably my favorite right now. She rolled the Independent trait. I love independent toddlers.

There is another birthday today if you can believe it. Little Olive, our Bad Apple, also had a birthday today. I sort of cheated and peeked at her skills as we were taking her to the cake (I didn’t look at anything else, and she was growing up so it didn’t matter, I just wanted to mark how she did.) I had also kept up with her skills through the notifications and apparently had them right. She almost made it to happy toddler, but was just shy. Still, she’s adorable, but little Oceana (I think) did not look happy that Olive was getting the cake.

Here is Olive after a bit of a make-over. She is such a pretty little girl. I really like her. She rolled Self-Assured as her trait. Well that makes sense, because she’s been having to fend for herself since she was a toddler. She got the Whiz Kid aspiration, which isn’t likely, but maybe if her sisters finish theirs they can help her with the first part at least.

Olive will take parental conversation anyway she can get it. She is a very sweet girl, and I feel bad at times that she was the choice for the Bad Apple, but it makes a lot more sense for the single birth to be that in my mind.

Desiree works tirelessly for her girls. She is up to a level 8 in parenting. She reads the newest toddlers to sleep and leaves notes for the older 3 on the curfew broad. She even posted the first picture.

Autumn seems to be wanting to break things in order to use magic to fix them. I sometimes totally forget to fix something so it sits broken for a day or two, and by then we usually have 3 or 4 things broken that need to be fixed. Repario has been an absolute lifesaver for this challenge. Spell caster is the way to go.

I didn’t capture a picture of it, but Blossom finished her Artistic Prodigy aspiration and took Whiz Kid next. That meant she could play chess with Olive and hopefully get them both some games for their aspirations.

The twins are always tired or hungry. I am trying to get their skills all learned up but they are being pains at the moment. So we put them to bed a little early this night in the hopes they will get a full night sleep, let us have a full night of rest, and allow for the adults to make food in the morning.

Autumn falls asleep on this lounger and thus completes her aspiration. This is great news because it’s one more thing knocked off of our list. We have started all 3 of the needed collections, completed this aspiration, all we need to finish now is cleaning up the island and finding the rest of the needed relic pieces and activate one. We can do this!

This picture is just too dang cute. I believe this is Orca, yes that is a green swimsuit and the right hair, and she apparently asked Desiree to let her play in the pool. These interactions were just too cute! I love them so much.

Autumn grew up into an adult without fanfare. Honestly, I kind of forgot it was her birthday in all the craziness. It’s been a wild ride for sure through this. She was a little sad, but had enough other moodlets it got pretty buried, so she was only sad for a little about about her forgotten birthday. Too much to do to stay sad for long. I have also just realized her familiar, Batty, got unsummoned and I needed to bring him back.

With that I believe I am going to leave you this update, but not before posting the heir poll below. This is not going to be like my other heir polls, as I’m not going to have an entirely separate page for them. What I did was create an extra save, age up all of the girls to YA, gave them make-overs to show off their best traits as possible, and then took pictures with different ‘poses’. I did roll for traits, but none of the aspirations have been picked yet, we will choose those as they age up. So without further adu, here are your choices:

Ok, here are your choices. First up is Brook (in yellow). She got her mom’s teal eyes, but is not a spell caster. She will have Glutton, Geek, and Dance Machine as her traits. Next up (in gray) is Brook’s twin, Blossom. Blossom was born a spell caster and is super cute. She, however, got Desiree’s brown eyes, so she’s not the top pick. She will have Goofball, Creative, and Dance Machine as traits. Apparently Dance Machine is a twin thing.

Last up in the first row is our Bad Apple, Olive (in the red). She grew up really pretty, and is also a spell caster, but also has Desiree’s brown eyes. She will end up with Self-Assured, Geek, and Art Lover as her traits.

Our final two are the second set of twins. First is Orca (in green), who is not a spell caster. She has Autumn’s teal eyes, which is a plus, and she will get Romantic, Slob and Lazy as her traits. Her twin, Oceana (in blue) is our TOP CHOICE. She got Autumn’s teal eyes, but is also a natural spell caster. She gets the traits Genius, Bro, and Perfectionist.

With the spell casting being a huge part of my challenge the 3 who were born spellcasters would be my top picks (Blossom, Olive, or Oceana.) Oceana having the teal eyes is a huge plus in her favor for me, but I leave it up to you. I will also have a post over on boolprop.net if you want to vote there. This poll is only going to be open about 4 days, so get your votes in quick.

Hello all, and welcome back to Comic Summer. Hopefully you have been reading along so far and are ready for another fun update with this couple and the twins. We still have 2 more pregnancies to get through, and Autumn is pregnant currently. As a reminder of the requirements for our 3 goals that Autumn needs to complete:

Founder Requirements

  • IL: Live on Mua Pel’am
  • IL: Clean up Sulani completely (in progress)
  • IL: Complete Beach Life aspiration (in progress)
  • IL: Start Buried Treasure collection (ongoing)
  • IL: Start Seashell collection (ongoing)
  • JA: Go to Selvadorada to find a spouse
  • JA: Start Ancient Artifact collection (ongoing)
  • JA: Build a relic and use it on someone outside of the family (in progress)
  • RoM: Become a spellcaster

So we are doing well, although we need to get back to the jungle soon and find the relic pieces. We do have a couple of relic tops, just not bottoms yet. We also need to finish up Autumn’s aspiration and cleaning the island up, and cleaning up Sulani takes a lot of time apparently. We have reached the first level of that though, so we are on our way.

We are going to start with the twins heading out to build a little sand gnome. I love Blossom’s little face when looking at him. This is so cute to watch. I love having toddlers on the beach.

The house is expanded again, and we now have an upper floor. I believe this should be our biggest and last expansion. It’s possible, if we get triplets, that we will need another bassinet or toddler bed, but there are 8 sleeping areas across 6 beds for adults/teens/children now, which means there should room for everyone who can live here…and I have room in the teen/children rooms to add another bed if needed.

We did have HarvestFest, although I apparently missed the pictures of it, but Autumn gets going on grilling food. Our friend is over again too, and she wants to come over all the time. It’s sweet, I really like her as a family friend.

We all know what this face means. Right before this, Desiree switches her job to be a Freelance Programmer to work on her next level of her aspiration, but that will now wait.

Desiree: There’s a baby, they better not hurt my wife

Desiree, calm down, no one is going to hurt her.

Desiree: Last time she said it felt like they ripped out her heart!

Well…..just go sit down.

Which she did, in the room next door, to work on her work.

But I’m here to tell you we welcomed a new little girl. This is Olive, and she will be our bad apple. Poor little Olive will have to mostly fend for herself, but I’m excited to see how she does.

Back at home, we have added our next 3 flamingos, and while we are running out of space down this direction, we have at least 3 more for this generation. At this rate we will be running out of room for sure.

Since there is time before Olive grows up and the twins have maxed all of their skills and still have a few days before growing up we decide to send Autumn back to the jungle to see if she can pick up any more items, or relic bottoms.

Instead, she has a pretty terrible trip. She does manage to get through the temple, but while digging for artifacts, gets no relic pieces, in the treasure chests she gets relic tops, and then she gets burned and poisoned by the temple defenses. She does manage to overcome poison so we head home and count our blessings she didn’t die. Especially because, it’s birthday time!

All three girls are growing up today, and we had our lights turned off for a few minutes because I hadn’t paid the bills while we were in the jungle…whoops. Still Olive grew up looking just like Desiree and rolled the Charmer trait. Poor little Bad Apple.

Here are all three girls after a bit of a make-over. Olive is first, as since she is a charmer her outfits are going to lean towards red. Broke is next, she maintains the yellow leaning outfits and keeps her pigtails. Blossom keeps the grey colors, and while she grew up in a mohawk that didn’t look bad on her, I put her in this hair for now…..she might end up being trans, we’ll see when she becomes a teen.

One of their first nights in their big girl beds and Brook comes in because of a monster under the bed apparently. Autumn goes and sprays, but in an entirely different room, under an entirely different bed then the one Brook was sleeping in.

The whole family sits down for a meal together before the girls first day of school. They both join the scouts, and I forgot to mention what their aspirations are. Brook wants to be a Rambunctious Scamp, while Blossom wants to be an Artistic Prodigy.

We had Winterfest and the good news about the open space in the dinning room/kitchen area is that it’s perfect for the tree. I apparently didn’t take any other pictures of WinterFest, but they all had a good time, except for Olive who (since I can’t control her) is a bit of a mess and was sleeping when everyone else was opening presents.

Late at night we break a sink that will be fixed a couple days later, because I totally forgot the very next day. We also get word that the final pregnancy is started! This is very exciting news.

A quick trip to the playground allows Brook to complete the first milestone of her aspiration and both girls are working slowly on their scouts badges. I will admit, I haven’t been managing the house as well as I sometimes do. Have Olive as an uncontrollable and unknowable child makes her almost harder than an ISBI child.

I also have realized that I never told you the traits of the twins. Both girls got the Top-Notch Toddler trait, and Brook is a Glutton and Blossom is a Goofball.

It’s New Years for the family, and it fell on a weekend so the girls had scouts. That evening, everyone but Olive watched the countdown. The girls each wished to gain a new level in scouting, Desiree’s resolution was to get promoted I think, and Autumn wanted to complete and aspiration milestone.

Early on a morning a day or two later, Autumn woke up with this face. Now, she was also hungry, but it’s time for the final baby, or babies, of this generation to be born. So Autumn and Desiree head to the hospital. Desiree goes and gets some food first, and then stands in the hallway freaking out.

Autumn’s familiar, Batty, watches over Autumn to ensure nothing happens to her.

Batty: This doc seems good.

Yes, she is calm and there is not crazy workings of the machine, just the quiet.

Batty: My mage will be happy to be done.

I’m sure she will, but she’s been a trooper.

Oh look at that, 2 bassinets again. Well, twins, single birth, twins isn’t too bad. At least she didn’t get triplets. We have two more girls added to the family, so this will certainly be a matriarchy for sure. So welcome Orca and Oceana Comic.

Batty: This one looks healthy, I also think I feel power from her.

Well that’s good, we need a spell caster to carry on.

Batty: The other also looks healthy. My mage has done well.

I would agree Batty.

So with our final pregnancy of this generation over, we have completed the required pregnancies, and now have to spend our time focused on the rest of the goals.

Back at home I realized that Desiree’s age bar was bubbling, so Autumn baked her a cake, and Desiree is now an adult. It will be a while before Autumn is there, since she carried all the babies. Desiree is now in the gardening career to try and reach her next aspiration milestone.

I will leave you with this very dark picture of the flamingos. We have added the next 6 flamingos to our herd….if we keep up with this many babies, this yard will be FULL of flamingos by the end.

With that I will leave you with a lot other information. The seashell collection is coming along, I believe they have found 7 of them so far. The artifacts are also coming along quite well. I’m debating where to put everything, but so far we have had one repeated artifact, and no replicas found so far. Autumn needs to find a buried treasure for her aspiration and then she should be on the last level. Once the kids get a little older we shouldn’t have any problems heading back to the jungle for more adventures. Thanks for joining us so far, and I will probably get an heir poll up at the end of the next update.

Comic Summer: Post 1.02

Post 1.01 | Rules | Family Tree | Post 1.03

Welcome back to the Comic Summer. The last update saw Autumn Comic head to the jungle to find her spouse, become a spell caster, and start the clean up of Sulani. This gets us started on each of our main goals, and we have been lucky to not have anything break, flamingos kicked over, and we haven’t broken any rules yet.

Right before we check in with the family I made myself a list of founder requirements for this challenge, so let’s check those out:

Founder Requirements

  • IL: Live on Mua Pel’am
  • IL: Clean up Sulani completely (in progress)
  • IL: Complete Beach Life aspiration (in progress)
  • IL: Start Buried Treasure collection (ongoing)
  • IL: Start Seashell collection (ongoing)
  • JA: Go to Selvadorada to find a spouse
  • JA: Start Ancient Artifact collection (ongoing)
  • JA: Build a relic and use it on someone outside of the family (in progress)
  • RoM: Become a spellcaster

Autumn has done well so far. Three requirements down, 3 will be continuing through additional generations, so just 3 more to get done along with the 3 pregnancies. So let’s see how the couple is fairing now.

The next morning the flamingos are checked and are still standing, so the couple has breakfast in their new kitchen/dining room. There will be kids soon, which means we will need more rooms, which means work.

Vegetarian Dumplings are the meal for today, and Autumn is getting better. We will need to get through a Kava party for her aspiration still, and Desiree needs to get skills leveled up.

While Desiree cleans up, Autumn practices her magic. Luckily she has learned Repario, which means, as things begin to break, we should be easily able to fix them.

Autumn: So…should we think about a baby.

Desiree: A baby? YES, LET’S DO IT!

LOL….seriously, I love Desiree’s faces. She’s very expressive.

And we have the B-baby on board. We will be waiting until the birth to determine if she has multiple or not. I’m sure we will get at least one set of twins each generation. I’m mostly worried for triplets, as twins will allow us to keep everyone at home.

That night Autumn works on more potions, while Desiree works on reading more books. She needs logic and we bought the first 2 levels of basically all skill books so she had things to learn easily.

The next morning the two head out and start beach combing. Between beach combing for trash and seashells the girls were very successful, and we are quickly on our way to getting the seashell collection complete.

Then it’s back to potion making. We are going to need to go back to the jungle at some point, so might as well make them now. Desiree is busy surveying thing for work.

We did bring back some artifacts from our last expedition so Autumn gets to work on authenticating some. The potion also turned out well, as you can see. I love this potion.

We do have a popcorn machine, but Autumn tries to keep the family in fruit salad and other vegetarian dishes. I love these PJ’s on her with her pregnant belly. She is handling pregnancy ok, but she really gets hungry a lot.

Desiree checks on the flamingos, which are all still standing, and gets right to work tending the garden before heading in for breakfast. Both girls are doing well in their jobs, and Desiree will probably be switching before too much longer.

Both of them are very excited to meet the new baby. Autumn is getting tired of being pregnant already, and is just tired all the time, so it’s been up to Desiree to do most of the island clean up.

That’s ok though, because Desiree needs to gain fitness. She is still very slow at swimming, while Autumn already got built up doing all the clean up herself before.

Studying session that night gives the girls some time to study and relax before heading to bed. Especially since tonight is special.

Desiree: OH MY GOSH, a baby is on the way!

Yes, so go to the hospital.

Desiree: Hospital right…

Autumn: Are you coming Desiree??

Autumn: Can we get this baby out yet?

Is Desiree going to join you?

Autumn: No, she is freaking out and going to watch TV.

Oh boy….

Well, it’s at least not triplets. Welcome Blossom and Brook Comic.

So back at home, 6 more flamingos are added to our herd. This is already getting to be a lot of flamingos. I have a feeling we are going to be wishing for a larger lot before it’s all said and done. I might have to move the house.

Dual parenting for the win. The girls are already doing well so far, and Desiree is gaining parenting quickly. It will likely be one of her higher level skills. She already has Selvadorada Culture maxed, being a past resident.

At about 11:30 AM Desiree gives us our first broken item when breaking the toilet. We are lucky to have it be so close to noon. I do not expect our luck to last with that.

So just before 12:30 Autumn is able to go in and cast Repario to fix the toilet. She also knows the cleaning spell and uses that a fair amount as well. I love having a spell caster!

Both girls head out to do additional clean up of the island, and also are heading to go diving for additional sea shells to work on that collection. This has been a great location for these two getting fitness.

Desiree loves her girls, and while Autumn is off diving she takes care of both of them by herself. I believe this is Brook, and Blossom is still in the bassinet.

We finally hold the Kava party, and even Father Winter shows up! This is quite the group and I don’t think we invited all of these people, but that’s ok. At the very last second Autumn gets the gold she needed and she now needs to grill food and beachcomb a lot more.

The next morning we check the flamingos and discover that there is a sink that needs to be repaired at noon, which happens without issues.

The day the work goes quickly, and the girls share a move night together before heading to bed. The next day is a big day for the family.

Happy Birthday to Brook and Blossom. The days have gone by quickly and the girls are now both toddlers. I love them both and they are super cute. They are instantly started on learning to walk and then left to start their toddler skills while Autumn heads to give them a make-over.

Brook (whom I keep adding an e too, but her name has no e) got Autumn’s eyes, while Blossom is a born spellcaster. Blossom also gets the independent trait, as well as the weak bloodline trait, while Brook gets the Angelic trait to go along with weak bloodline.

I love these two already, and twins can play and talk with each other so much and makes toddler training easier, in my opinion. I can’t get over how cute they both are. I am excited to see how all these kids grow up.

Even Desiree seems to want to hang out with her daughters while everyone eats. They are just way too cute already. I’m going to be glad for an heir poll I think.

Bedtime stories are easier when you’ve got two parents who work from home. Both of the girls are put to bed after their first day as toddlers to get some good sleep and start their skilling in earnest.

The next night, after a busy day of skilling and work, a visitor comes over. It’s the tourist working as a bar maid that was almost our spouse. She is good friends with Autumn still, and Desiree knows her as well, of course. It’s fun to have the whole family together for a quiet night.

Our first little mess maker appears to be Brook. She is supposed to be getting put to bed, but instead she escaped and made this mess. I am watching you little girl.

Both girls need logic, so they spend some time at the new chess table that was bought for them. I need to get Autumn back to the jungle, but I want to focus on the toddlers for now. One of the O babies will be our Bad Apple for the generation.

Speaking of the next babies, Autumn and Desiree decide it’s time for another baby, who will grow up right about the same time that the twins become children, which feels like the perfect timing.

We had not managed to get our hands on strawberries yes, and thus, got very lucky with the twins. So I discovered that this stand in the city carries strawberries, so we grab some and head home.

Where we find Desiree working out. As the family gets ready for bed this night Desiree breaks the toilet. This is the only one they have, and of course, it can’t be fixed until noon the next day. Luckily, there is the public bathroom on the next island over. So the next morning both Autumn and Desiree are required to swim over there to use the facilities.

After she reached the island, Desiree shows her erratic trait and isn’t happy with this early morning swim with a full bladder. Sorry Desiree, I would be mad at me too, but you broke the toilet.

Desiree: It’s empty!

Yes, it got glitched and I had to empty it.

Desiree: But I’ve got a bowl here.

Well you can make more.

I put some food in the toddler room to keep them from having to get up too far for food, and they sit and talk with each other on their beds. Seriously so cute!

At noon there is much rejoicing when Autumn can repair the toilet. Then, at 1:02 PM the sink is broken. Seriously people, we need to stop breaking things. I also need to expand the house some more, and get some more bathrooms. Luckily the girls have a good amount of money at this point.

So with that last look, we are going to call this update complete. It’s a little longer than usual again, but hopefully you all don’t mind. Next time we will see the newest baby (or babies) make their appearances.
