Otts Family – Bailie 10

Hello and welcome back to the Otts family! Last time we ended with the birth of Bailie and Adalyn’s son Calvin. This is likely going to be their final kid, and we continue the family tradition of a single girl each generation. This time we should see Calvin become a toddler and the twins become teens. So let’s get going and check in on the family.

So the twins walked out of the house when it was time for school one day, but I never got the notice that they went to school. Checked on them and they were across the street getting cookies from the food stand. Cedric hung out there playing with this toy in the rain for a really long time.

Corey decides to finally autonomously do his homework, and Adalyn autonomously helps with homework. She is working on her parenting level 8, she might actually max it. We will see.

Bailie has gotten herself another promotion and the family is slowly building back up some money after the move. They still have quite a way to go, but we are covering our bills.

We have a sim using the pool!!! Adalyn is the first sim to hop in the pool and use it at all. She hangs out floating for awhile before heading back into the house and going to bed. She still hasn’t touched the bar.

The next day the kids come home from school, and while Cordelia sits down to play, poor Corey passes out. He apparently just couldn’t make it to bed first. -5 points

Um….Adalyn, what are you doing?

Adalyn: The toast is sticking.

Yes, I see that, but why are you cooking?

Adalyn: Because we have no other food.

There is popcorn right beside you, or you could make a salad.

She did manage to do this without burning the house down. Thankfully.

Cedric: I’m doing my homework. Are you watching me focusing on my homework….for my aspiration?

Yes, I see you. Still need you to get another mental skill, but you are going well.

Both boys suddenly get really studious and work on their homework. I’m not sure if they have enough time before growing up to get A’s, but maybe. We have a holiday coming up though.

Bailie pulls Cedric into some games of chess and before long had has reached a second milestone. I think he’s the first kid that has managed to complete two milestones. +5 points.

It’s Winterfest again and Brodie and Bryce are invited over. They don’t have a great place inside to place the tree, so it’s placed outside, decorated by the family and then presents are opened later in the evening.

Bailie: Really Brodie?????

Bryce: BRODIE!!!! How can you say that??????

What, what did I miss????

Bodie: Nothing, nevermind.

Adalyn: *oopps, walked in on that….I’m not here.*

Awww…I want to know what caused those faces.

Awww, Adalyn is reading one of Bailie’s books. It’s sweet that Adalyn is so supportive of her wife and all the things I’ve been making her work on.

Hi Audra, it’s nice of you to clean. You don’t need to, but goodness knows this family could probably use a little help. She only cleans the one mess, but you can see the kids have been busy, and there are more in the room back there at the end of the hall.

Adalyn goes to take care of baby Calvin and look at the birth certificates so far in this family. She has added a 4th to their generations line on the wall. It’s fun to see all of these together.

It’s about time to go visit Arthur’s family so we can flag Brooke. I believe we have gotten the rest of the kids already, but it might be good to check it out. Although the Otts don’t seem poised to take over the neighborhood, I’m not going to give them the chance.

Little Calvin as grown up, and while he’s pretty cute in the look he grew up in I want to give him a bit of a make-over anyway. He’s so cute! Calvin grew up Clingy…which should be fun to deal with.

While the older kids head off to school Adalyn and Calvin have a bit of a dance party. Calvin glaces back to make sure his mom is still with him. Bailie is still working on her aspiration, but it’s a long way to go still. She doesn’t raise fitness easily with her lazy trait.

Calvin: …..mum leeve. y she go?

Blue Bear: ……..

Calvin: ….mumm…….*sniff*

Yes, Calvin is VERY clingy. He gets sad anytime either Adalyn or Bailie head to work.

Popcorn is the food of life in this game right now. These toddlers needing food all the time without being able to get it from the fridge can be challenging.

The kids come home from school and both Cedric and Cordelia are very close to getting a grade up. Cedric to an A and Cordelia to a B. Sadly, Cedric won’t have time as both he and Corey’s age bars are bubbling, so it’s time for a birthday. Still Corey managed an A and that’s +5 points.

Bailie comes home and works on baking a cake. Cordelia works on her homework, but as you can see from what Adalyn is eating, she stole a piece of cake before I could get candles on the cake. So Bailie makes another one.

Right before he grows up Cedric shows a sudden interest in the drawing table. He works on a picture while Bailie finishes up the second cake so he and Corey can blow out their candles.

First up is Corey. Bailie, Adalyn, and Cordelia are on hand to watch and celebrate his growing up. Happy Birthday Corey. He grew up pretty handsome already.

After finishing his pictures Cedric comes down and grows up very handsome as well. I’ll give you close up pictures after their make-overs in a moment. I’m excited to have them as teens.

Little Calvin was getting hungry and his sleep schedule was all off so Bailie woke him up a little early and fed him a sandwich. Initially Cedric was on had to be ready to get him out of the highchair and back to bed, but he gives up.

Instead he gets grandpa Alan, who sits and talks with him about sandwiches. Calvin really wants out of this chair, but grandpa Alan doesn’t seem interested in helping him out, instead talking to him over and over again. Calvin ends up napping in the high chair off and on until someone wakes up.

Here are the boys after a bit of a make-over. Corey is in the glasses. He added Snob to his traits and wants to be a Computer Whiz. I keep his hair as I really liked it on him (actually that’s true of both boys) and he gets kind of a nerdy look. Cedric adds Romantic to his traits, and his aspiration is City Native.

Both boys looks great, and Cordelia will join them before too long That feels like a great place to leave this update and next time we will see Calvin’s toddler years and see how he does with his skills.

I have been playing sims since TS1 and even played a little bit of the PS2 version and the mobile versions over time. Once I discovered challenges for TS2 I never looked back. I love the sims, the families I've been able to make, and play through the years, and connecting with people about them. I work from home as a QTC Admin for my company, have a cat I adore and have a million hobbies I feel like I will never have time to completely explore.
